Thanks alot for your review. I searched over an hour for noncommercial information/videos about the nuna arra (in german and english) and I'm happy to found yours. It gives a lot of information and now I'm confidend to choose this baby seat. Thank you 👍
You're very welcome. I thought it was mad that there were no reviews when the product was only 6 months old! It's now almost 4 years since it was introduced (and there is a swivelling version called the Arra Next that is probably even better) and there are still almost no reviews. I don't know what the Nuna marketing team are even doing!
Hey! Thanks for the review! We just bought it after reading all the reviews in the world on car seats 😅. looking forward to using it. Just one thing to note you can use nowadays the “Nuna Next” system with the ARRA and the base of this system is a swivel base. 😇
Thank you for taking the time to review this car seat. I'm considering the Arra Next mainly due to the lie flat function as I anticipate most of my journeys to last longer than 20 mins.
The lie flat position is amazing. I don't know how we would have coped without it. Our son is so much more comfortable that way. The Arra next looks really good because it has all the same features and it also twists, which is more useful as the baby gets older and heavier.
Oh you do need swivel function, once baby hits around 6 months , you will use carseat on base les and les, but strapping baby in and out with swivel base will be so much easier
Now that he's a year old, I see your point! They have actually come out with an updated seat called the Arra Next which has a swivel function but is still really light - I guess we missed out.
Thank you so much!! There are literally no reviews on this car seat and it was driving me insane!! The worst part was wondering if I could use the maxi cosi adapters On my bugaboo, so thank for answering all of my questions you have literally saved my sanity haha!
Hi! Can anyone tell me if you can connect the Nuna Arra to a Bugaboo Fox 2 or 3? I cant figure it out between all the adaptors! Any help very much appreciated!
If the Bugaboo Fox is compatible with Maxi-Cosi (which it probably is), then it is also compatible with the Nuna Arra. You just have to get the Maxi-Cosi adapters.
@@zouika I don't actually know. It's been a while since I did all the research but a quick Google search tells me that the YoYo stroller is only compatible with a very specific list of car seats, not even all the maxi-cosi ones. This could be because the stroller isn't strong enough or isn't big enough to fit anything other than the lightest and smallest car seats, but I'm just speculating.
We included a few shots of the infant carrier attached to the base in the car, such as at 2:11 and at 3:47. We have a Vauxhall Astra, which is a fairly standard modern family car in the UK and the rear bench seats are slightly sloped but not a lot. The base can fit at multiple angles, so should fit a variety of sloped seats. The most important thing is that the base lies flat on the car seat, so you just have to set it up correctly.
Hi, really appreciate your review, been searching for one for months! Just a quick question, can the car seat be used without isofix using just the car seat belts. My car doesn't have isofix so just wanted to be sure. Many thanks
Thanks for your comment. I'm pretty sure you need to use the isofix base in order to safely use this chair. I should have mentioned this in the review but it never occurred to me. Thank you for the review! Got this one and overall loved it especially the fact that we didn’t have to buy a carrycot. We can use it for our walks and baby being in a flat position. However I am not quiet sure if the head protection is enough. I feel that baby’s head is falling on the side when traveling. Do you have the same issue?
We never noticed any issues with the level of head protection. Our son's head always seemed secure between the 2 padded pillows, but this could also be because he was born in the winter and always had a wooly hat on when we were using the car seat. Now that he is 3 months old, there is definitely no issue with the amount of padding.
Hi we had the same issuse with the nuna lite. So i have sold mine my however we are pregenant again looking for arra but dont want same issuse. With the baby head leaning to one side.
Hi. We currently have an Arra which has been brilliant with the Nuna Triv stroller. However have another baby on the way and with an 18 year old have decided to purchase the Cybex Gazelle Dual pushchair. However using the adapters, the Arra is at an angle as you’ve mentioned due to the adaptors. After long term use, how did you find it? Just concerned 😩
Hey! We have this car seat, do you find it difficult to put it back into non lay flat? We find the button to be stiff. Also we can’t seem to get it to lay flat with her in it in the car. Do you also have these problems?
Honestly, we haven't experienced either of these problems. Our Arra lies flat and returns to normal very easily, even when it's in the car. Do you find it stiff even when your baby isn't in it?
Cybex car seat is much better than Nuna. I connected it to the base for 2 minutes. The reclining system has more flat position for the baby. The car seats has a sensor safe system which can be connected to your phone. And the last thing Cybex started doing reclining car seats long time ago, Nuna and other companies just now.
Never but never buy car seat second hand! You cannot be certain of its history and you don't know if the product is damaged or has faults (It may have been involved in an accident and the damage may not be visible). If you must use a second-hand seat, only accept one from a family member or friend.
Thank you for the concern. This chair had actually never been used before we bought it. It was an unwanted gift to the original owner who already had a car seat. We did consider all the points you mentioned before deciding that it was safe to go ahead.

The Cybex Cloud z2 can also lie flat in the car by the way
We are edging toward the cybex. But I just wanted to comment and say I like your review. You made this video enjoyable. Thanks 👍
Thanks mate! At the end of the day they are both top of the line products, so it's all good. Enjoy parenthood!

Does your car have sloped seats? Seeing it in the car would be hugely beneficial. Thank you so much for doing this review!
