I've only recently been watching Cockatoos on RUclips. I do it because I find them to be entertaining by how silly they can be. It looks like they require at lot of attention. By getting one, I would have to sacrifice a lot of time, peace and quiet. I think I will just continue to watch these interesting birds from a distance.

I just saw a video of a particular congresswoman from Georgia and for some reason, it made me think of this video. I’ll fully support Demi’s campaign if she wants to run for congress. Without saying anything partisan, we might as well have literal cockatoos screaming in government.
Liken a cockatoo to a flying five year old equipped with an air horn and Vise-Grips. The most common term I use when scolding my cockatoo is "DON'T EAT THE HOUSE!" It's just the nature of the beast. An old chair is a good sacrifice. Mine has a fetish for TV remotes. Been through at least a dozen of those.

cockatoo are very noisey demanding crave attention affection. dont like night time. stresses them out. very autistic in their behaviour like routine etc.. night time my birdies have cover cage small camping lantern left on.
I can tell you are a real cockatoo owner. I think the bird in this video is tired and frustrated. I think it's trying to let it's owner know it's bedtime. Please take me to my cage, cover me up so I can sleep. My cockatoo sleeps with a nite lite also.. Peace

They said their behavior was like an autistic person. Seeing a similarity in behavior doesn't mean this person is part of some mental health conspiracy. Having had a Gray footed parrot and a sibling with high functioning autism I can totally see what fluffy crazy budgies means. I am under no illusions that human mental health applies to a bird, But that doesn't mean 2 different things can't be similar. And speaking of mental health I'm hoping you're doing better in your asylum

@@SnowWhiteTheU2 Don't do it. I ended up with a Galah instead and he provides _plenty_ of noise whilst being quite a few dB below what an umbrella can produce. DON'T DO IT. The only cockatoo I'd recommend is a Galah, genuinely. They're the lowest maintenance very high-maintenance pet you can get. If that makes sense. :P
My next door neighbours have a giant male cockatoo that screams and screeches at all hours of the day and night! With the walls being paper-thin here, we hear it clear as a bell, all the time!! 🤪
I have a cockatoo and a way to get it to be quieter is talk and sing to it often and put its name in the songs. Make sure you do this even as you are in different rooms from each other.
As an Australian these birds must never be in a cage 24hrs a day. That is animal cruelty and they must free roam for most of the day. They are very social animals
Cockatoos are not quiet I have a umbrella cockatoo and she’s so loud I always wake up at 6:00 because it’s so loud My neighbor came up to my door once and I’ll never forget the question he asked He said “ is your going crazy”
So cute, she acts like my male when he is in a bad mood. Now I don't feel Soo bad. You don't have to cut those much off of her wings. You can just cut the first four feathers halfway up another flight wings and she can't fly. And she'll still be pretty and graceful but can't get off the ground. There's videos on here that shows you exactly how to do it

Amusing, but you were DEFINITELY making it worse. When they get loud don't acknowledge it. They're like toddlers. You're teacher her that yelling like that will get your attention. Even all the shhing and yelling "Don't!" in the background is attention they crave. P.S. She's not mental. Toos, especially moluccans like this one, are notoriously loud. This is normal behavior, and everything you do in this video is only making it worse.

The only thing broken about her are her wing tips! Please learn to trim wings appropriately. There are ways to trim them so that they can still fly, just not glide, which is the only thing you want to avoid in a house because it can cause injury.

Their not trimmed the wrong way, they are growing at a different pace. Whenever a birds feathers are growing they don't grow all together.
