Yeah, but when I went up to it I already kind of expected to fall from that (well not exactly at that particular spot, since that was actually where one could relax a bit). What really bummed me was the Herc Hoist, since usually I don't have issues with it - unlike this time as you can tell from the video ;)
Yeah, in the beginning I wasn't sure if I was on track, but then I saw the other markee and figured everyone else was wrong. :) Unfortunately towards the end of that river section the ground was extremely uneven, so I had to stop running in order to avoid an injury, which is why some of the guys were able to catch up again.
Yes, especially the rotation made it hard to hold the grip, since it seemed to twist out of one's hand, when pulling up on the next handle. It was really hard, but my fall at that point was unnecessary, since that was actually an in between spot where I could have given my fingers a short rest. I'll try to do better next time ;)
Oliver Gerl Thanks for this vid. I've never been into this kind of races in my whole life though i like to try this but the problem im worrying is my height I'm not that tall im just around 5'1 Does height really matter Mr. Oliver? ☺
While you could have some issues with the higher walls (8 or 9 foot walls), this should really not keep you from participating in a race. Fellow Spartans are always very helpful and will definitely lend you a hand or give you a leg-up in case you just cannot reach a point on a certain obstacle.I've seen people of all kinds and shapes doing these races, so there really is nothing that should keep you from doing it. Go Spartan! :)
Great job Oliver! Most importantly; thank you for running and not walking! Watching so many people walk drives me nuts
Thanks, I try my best to always keep running. It's a race after all and I want to be as good as I can be :)
Good Job man! That Twister got me too.

Thanks for posting man. Thinking about giving the race a go. Cheers
Rock on! Looked like fun. I agree with what some others said, thanks for running it and not walking it.
It definitely was fun - that special kind of fun that really challenges you, and where you have lots of blisters afterwards ;)

Красавчик!!! Хорошо прошел!
That new obstacle 'Twisting monkey bars' or whatever seems kinda hard...
