I'm American and I think she's awesome. There have been some unflattering videos of her on YouTiube that cast her in a bad light but I think it's either that she's misunderstood or that there are some haters out there who can't stand that she's living her dream.

They were all very friendly with everyone, and Simone joked around with me the first time I met her about some of the things I said and about a photo I showed her of a birthday cake my friends made for me with her picture on it. She is absolutely charming in person, and I think she's great.

She totally wanted to be a singer. And she sought out Mark on MySpace. She was one if “those girls.” Lol. Catching herself a guy in a band. All things do happen for a reason because she happened to have her wiles and got herself noticed by Mark. Mark is good about recognizing talent in his girlfriends. If she hadn’t snagged herself a metal guy she never would have gotten the opportunity. That would have been tragic.
Well she would have eventually gotten an opportunity to be a metal singer, it just wouldn't have been for Epica. Same with Floor, if Mark hadn't recognized Floor, Floor wouldn't be in Nightwish or made ReVamp.
Why is their beauty so god damn important? Having great voices is what matters, since they're singers, not models. I hate how shallow people are... Feels like beauty matters more than vocal talent these days 😔 Makes me really sad tbh. So many wonderfully talented women out there don't get much (if any) recognition because they're not pretty enough, if you don't have looks you don't stand a chance.
