Saw it yesterday. True cinema. Not enough words exist to describe the beauty of it.

Indeed. A near flawless masterpiece. The only thing that took me out of it was the excessive language and a little bit of identity politics that crept in. But those are of course somewhat subjective, and this film makes all of Marvel's paint by the numbers fan service schlock movies look like underdone potatoes comparatively.

@@knightonart8886 Tbh i didn't saw that the movie endorsed or lectured us that "those" identity politics are 100% the good way, instead I felt like the movie showed this political topics and issues to make it more "real" to how convoluted our world is instead of preaching to the audience that the left are the good guys and "Build Back Better" bs.
As a very conservative right-wing guy this movie was imo the opposite of The Last Jedi, and that's a good thing.

Loved every second of this movie. It perfectly demonstrates why Batman is one of my favorite characters of all time. He's not not just some rich guy who beats up the mentally ill. He's more than that. He's more than just vengeance. The Batman is hope. Hope that you can transform every injustice you've ever faced in your life and everytime you've been in pain into something good. Into hope even if it still hurts. The opening of the film perfectly demonstrates to us who we're dealing with here. There's a guy obsessed woth riddles going after corruption in Gotham in a lethal way literally turning his first victim into a riddle and The Batman who's vengeance. A monster, someone not everyone is really sure exists. A the biggest mystery in Gotham who's going after wrong doers in a nonlethal way. He's someone to be feared and when that light hits the sky it's not just a call but it's a warning to the criminal underworld that The Batman is upon them. Every shot is so beautiful. The way the movie stays dark almost the entire time with blues and oranges and reds to contrast looms so damn good. The acting is great amongst the entire cast and in the funeral scene Bruce barely speaks yet you know everything he's thinking and feeling as he sees the mayor's son all alone and scared like him and when he sees the riddler stalking him and hears the car about to crash the funeral. When he sees a phone call was addressed to him. This is due to the wonderful performance from Robert Pattinson who can finally stop being known as "the guy from twilight" and hopefully this movie opened up people's eyes to things like The Lighthouse, Good Time, Cosmopolis etc. The score is something we've never gotten from a superhero movie before. The way Ave Maria plays at the beginning of the movie and always sneaks its way into every scene with the Riddler and even is main theme. The song he used to sing at the boy's choir with Bruce right next to him. He very much believes it's his theme even going so far as to using it in his videos exposing the Waynes secrets. The fact that Bruce lives in Wayne Tower and that Wayne Manor was turned into an orphanage really drives home the idea that Bruce is literally looking down at the poor people of Gotham. Imagine living your life in the manor as an orphan knowing none of it is yours. None of the toys, clothes, nothing. You're constantly greeted by paintings of the family you wish you had. The love you so desperately want. The scene of Alfred telling Bruce the truth is one of the most powerful moments in comic book movie history and definitely the best Bruce and Alfred scene in any Batman movie to date. And of course the ending narration was beautiful. Batman movies should have bigger sweet endings. Maybe Gotham is flooded and is under repair that will mayb. take well over a year to fix but Batman has become a symbol of hope for the innocents of Gotham. The scene of Bruce and Selina is also beautiful. 2 people who love and care about each other not being able to be together because of who they are is sad but in Bruce's eye you see the Batsignal in the sky. A glare of hope. Hope that The Batman will save us. 10/10 definitely my favorite comic book movie of all time and I can't wait to see where this universe goes in the sequels and spin off shows.

The music and the rainy red background perfectly captures the mood from the movie and Pattinson's brooding Batman.

Love this! ❤ The Rain captures the essence that is The BATMAN 🦇 Not a Hero but Vengeance then … only to reconsider his ideals and thought 💭 to something like being able to be something MORE
Something better helps the people of GOTHAM no not vengeance, vengeance won’t change the past his or anyone else’s, this city is scarred like him, but scars can transform us, help us endure and have to the strength to fight…. 😌 🦇 HOPE 👏🏻
