They could've at least taken one of the stupid photos with her.

I was talking about Sangtae's mom whose son , Sangtae, is still alive and kicking plus the grandchildren albeit not living with them, compared to the rich in-laws whose daughter died. Sangtae's mom is the one complaining not the in-laws. The ones that should be moaning about their fate are the in-laws because their daughter is dead (they still have a younger daughter though), but they're not. They're just sad about the fact and glad that Sangtae and the grandchildren are living with them. Now, will you please elaborate how Sangtae's mom got her "kid taken away" from her?

this is an interesting discussion :) as from my point of view, it seems like sangtae's mother is jealous because she can't provide his son and grandchildren all those luxuries. she feels that her in laws looking down on her because her family is poor. and she's getting old. as women get older, they tend to be too sensitive about anything. meanwhile, sangtae's parents in law are good persons but seem to be insensitive. they don't understand that their words can hurt. it's understandable because they were raised in different condition. sangtae's parents in law look like they are raised in rich family where everything is provided. they don't have any experience of being poor so they tend to have little empathy (or just simply don't understand) how poor people might think and feel. well that's my opinion.😅
