Even those of us with oily skin need to moisturize. Try a light gel-type of moisturizer. I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly for daytime use; and their gel at night for extra moisture. I was using the Gel in mornings as well, and while not the worse... noticeable improvement in makeup appearance by switching. I tried using just the jelly, both morning & night - and I had dry spots/patches more often. I am almost 50, but still almost as oily as I was as a teen/early 20s, for comparison.
