I don't understand why "fans" are bashing OOR's transition in the music industry. I've been following the band for several years now and it has been amazing to watch them grow along the way. Isn't it a good thing that they are reaching out more to their American fans? OOR is creating music that everyone can listen to and understand. They're becoming more than just a J-Rock band, they're becoming an international sensation. Major props to them for doing what many others bands would never do.

When groups end up doing this kind of genre, I grow attached to them, and when they go to a different genre, or back to their original sound, I stay with them, even if the genre isn't my favorite. Overall, I'm glad bands try to gain international fans. It worked on me!

This is why I love this band. Variety and dedication. I love the heavy rock but also the light stuff. Bands fall when they keep making the same old. Making just heavy rock gets old. Same with light. They also mix their parts so well.

I'm not sure how to feel, I love this band, but then hearing this new song, and watching the videos of them playing their old music is kind of sad in a way, it's like watching how they used to be, but I'm sure they're still the same One Ok Rock, wait till the album comes out before you give up all hope
i understand what you mean, but thing dont always stay they way they are. I Think One Ok Rock chose to move forward and with the type of music that suits their experiences, their present life and their maturity. Thats why many of us could see the difference between their old music with the new.

Ever since they got more famous over seas and especially since they came to the US people started criticize them .__. why? They are just growing in music wise. No one stays the same.
I've noticed that usually people get into jrock(or any music not american) do so becaause it's not american. So when the american influence starts coming out the people who used to like that particular group start to dislike it

Marianna Rocha I can understand that they've always had American influences in their music, but it's usually a little more balanced with Japanese influences. This song could have been sung by a bunch of different American bands and would sound just like something they always sing. It, however, does not sound so much like something OOR would always sing. It's a more Americanized song for them, and people can tell. Some people like it, some people don't. I'm happy to hear them expanding their musical spectrum, but like you said "if it's always the same it gets boring". This song sounds a lot like other bands' music so it's more of the same if you're looking at a bigger picture than just OOR music. Personally, this is just one song, a drop in the bucket of OOR music so liking or not liking it doesn't effect me very much. I don't expect their next song to sound just like it, so I'm not worried.

***** Try again, please. Their older ballads have much more pop influence and are piano/acoustic guitar driven. Decision is all electric distortion and drum driven. It's VERY MUCH an anthemic rock song. Listen to all those songs you listed again because I think you need to check past the vocals and tempo.
i love ONE OK ROCK no matter what! this is not the first time we heard Taka sing songs like these! we heard him sing Pierce, All Mine and all other songs that would just make you fall in love with his voice even more! songs like this will really prove to you that taka is not like some other rock bands that rely on their screams! taka has a very powerful and moving voice! it is taka himself that said he does not want to be defined by genres...he just loves to sing! and this might sound different but just wait until taka sings this song live, toru leads the guitar, ryouta does the bass and tomoya does the drums and i know one ok rock will still rock even if they sing MY WAY! i dont know but if you heard him sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY it was the best version and voice i ever heard in my entire life! i wont argue! your DECISION is yours! and I WILL ALWAYS LOVE ONE OK ROCK is my DECISION!
I love both version either in Japanese or English but somehow , Japanese lyrics got me right into the feelings . Despite I dont even understand a word , but japanese is very nice to listen to 😄

I think these type of songs were a long time coming. For the majority of their career they have been producing hard hitting songs that greatly contributed to their image as well as their fame. However, I think it's about time they showed us, the fans, a new side of themselves and you know what, go ahead. I'm a fan so...do you or, better yet, do what you want.
If people complain about them being lighter, listen to cry out, it's hardcore like woah. But people, variety is what makes a band unique. So far their 3 new songs are varied and that's a beautiful thing!

この曲は知ってたんだけど、日本語訳がよくわからなくて今更になってわかった。おれは海外に出て旅や仕事をしたいって思ってたんだけど、当然親は反対。おれを応援してくれるひとなんでだれもいなかった。この曲の日本語訳を知って、この若い人生を逃したらもう二度と若い人生はやってこないということを気付かされた。おれの人生を作るのはおれ自身だからな、いまになってやっとわかった。この曲を人生に迷う全てのひとにしってほしい。この曲に込めたTAKAの気持ちは半端なものではなかったとおもう。その証拠としておれという一つの心が揺さぶられたから。頑張れ俺、頑張れみんな、頑張れワンオク。

i understand what you mean, but thing dont always stay they way they are. I Think One Ok Rock chose to move forward and with the type of music that suits their experiences, their present life and their maturity. Thats why many of us could see the difference between their old music with the new.

ONE OK ROCK is one of the best rock bands out there and yes they are growing even bigger and they WON"T STOP. Just because you little haters hate on them, it doesn't mean you'll change shit. This song is amazing and you can't help it but fall in love with Taka, Toru, Ryota, and Tomoya.

oh my god can you all just stop hating on this band so much. i come back on this video every now and then and people just keep hating. i've known this band for quite a while now and knowing that they started out small and reached to where they are now makes me so proud as a fan. they're at the highest peak of their dreams, they're touring to countries besides their own. they've matured and grown in terms of music and being people. so this is a "soft" song, so what? i like it no actually i love it, and will probably love everything that this band releases.i admire every member to pieces, and look up to them so much. they're really amazing as human beings. besides if you're a fan from their earlier days, i'm pretty sure you know that they've released songs like this too... jesus, people just need to calm down. i dont get why people start giving a band a lot of hate just because they're now famous, successful, making different kinds of music... and have reached their dreams. i just don't fucking get it.

Ever since they got more famous over seas and especially since they came to the US people started criticize them .__. why? They are just growing in music wise. No one stays the same.
I've noticed that usually people get into jrock(or any music not american) do so becaause it's not american. So when the american influence starts coming out the people who used to like that particular group start to dislike it

I mean if they were good fans they would already KNOW that ONE OK ROCK has always kinda been heavily influenced by American musicians. I'm not saying its bad but I feel that now that they worked with John Feldon (?) people think they are SUDDENLY more Americanized BUT they don't realize OOR has ALWAYS been SOMEWHAT influenced by America . Idk why they hate so much on it. I personally love the (slight) change. If its always the same it gets boring in MY opinion.
Marianna Rocha I can understand that they've always had American influences in their music, but it's usually a little more balanced with Japanese influences. This song could have been sung by a bunch of different American bands and would sound just like something they always sing. It, however, does not sound so much like something OOR would always sing. It's a more Americanized song for them, and people can tell. Some people like it, some people don't. I'm happy to hear them expanding their musical spectrum, but like you said "if it's always the same it gets boring". This song sounds a lot like other bands' music so it's more of the same if you're looking at a bigger picture than just OOR music. Personally, this is just one song, a drop in the bucket of OOR music so liking or not liking it doesn't effect me very much. I don't expect their next song to sound just like it, so I'm not worried.

***** Try again, please. Their older ballads have much more pop influence and are piano/acoustic guitar driven. Decision is all electric distortion and drum driven. It's VERY MUCH an anthemic rock song. Listen to all those songs you listed again because I think you need to check past the vocals and tempo.
i love ONE OK ROCK no matter what! this is not the first time we heard Taka sing songs like these! we heard him sing Pierce, All Mine and all other songs that would just make you fall in love with his voice even more! songs like this will really prove to you that taka is not like some other rock bands that rely on their screams! taka has a very powerful and moving voice! it is taka himself that said he does not want to be defined by genres...he just loves to sing! and this might sound different but just wait until taka sings this song live, toru leads the guitar, ryouta does the bass and tomoya does the drums and i know one ok rock will still rock even if they sing MY WAY! i dont know but if you heard him sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY it was the best version and voice i ever heard in my entire life!
