I’ve enjoyed the show , madden , nba 2k since I was a kid but man are sports games such a scam nowadays , paying 60-70 bucks a year for roster updates that could just as easily be a free DLC . I thinks it’s been 10 years since there’s been any noticeable progression towards a more realistic presentation/ play by play. Zero creativity or will to make new mechanics or modes . And to top it off they’re as plagued with micro-transactions as any other game. I still like sports games enough to update every 3-5 years , but buying every year is crazy to me and of course just enables the greed and laziness of the publishers/developers

Ratings are as usual, awful. Aside from ratings, they still have Ohtani as a pitcher! Apparently you still have to fill in MLB lineups without a DH! They get away with all this crap because they have the only current baseball game for a PS5 and xbox. For franchise players, this is just a roster update.

Now you get to only use it on equipment and the cpu doesn't factor that in rather or not to call you up. I bought it because I love this franchise and baseball in general but it is getting dated.....even 2k body movements are more fluid it's only a gripe of our time and how we've been spoiled with the capabilities our hardware....the hair movement look like ps4 graphics 😅
The atmosphere is incredibly boring, bot much arena music, chants or organ like real world stadium. This has been overlooked for years, and lends itself to be a bit of a boring and unreal experience, and I hope it gets some attention!
I have nothing against the game but for 2023 the cover athlete was not necessary. I have nothing against blacks But my brother and I looked up. His numbers and his numbers were not good at all and he was injured for quite a while during the year of 2022 and during the 2023 season he was on the disabled list.

Okay, fine, maybe next year they can introduce Marvel characters and a Harry Potter DC pack... Hell, let's just go all out and add Teletubbies and The Kardashians to a MLB licensed video game...
