Those interference colours are so amazing! I had no idea they existed until right now. Love your figures and the opportunity to get to watch you paint them!
Great video, thank you! Do you have any advice for what to do if you mess up painting a figure? i.e. gettin a dark paint on a lighter part of the figure?
I've been struggling with painting my resin sculptures for a while now, even with many layers of varnish spray it still chips off. Do you have any reccomandations? Or am I doing something wrong?
Your videos help me so much ! Great ! I’d love to see you sculpt in smaller form with magic sculpt - I’m sculpting both small and large with it in the same way with polystyrene so I’d love some hints on how to get that detail ! Thanks so much !
Since you don't use any primer, do you clean your casts with anything before painting? My acrylics won't stick to my figurines. I've tried washing them with dish soap and priming them but it still doesn't stick... Thanks for the helpfull video's!
I don't clean or wash them with anything. I use SmoothCast 300 resin. with Moldstar 30 silicone mold and use baby powder for a mold release in the mold. The acrylic paint sticks great. There's a video on my channel that talks about using baby powder
@@SteveFerrera yep I've seen the video with the baby powder! I used SmoothCast 305 resin with OOMOO 30 silicone and baby powder but for some reason some of my casts seem to have some oily-like residue on them. It's not even with all of them, it's very strange...
These videos are a delight, thank you so much for producing them!
This was so incredibly helpful. Thank you so much! The piece is fab, by the way.
Thanks for this! Took some helpful tips from it 🙏

MCPM Official yep acrylic. Doesn’t fade
@@SteveFerrera mybe bcause i use the cheap one,,, :(, and u the expnsve one..
This was so helpful, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Do you find that your sculptures become sticky after painting?
never had any problems with sticky. Sometimes vinyl will off gas and become sticky over time. but this is a hard cast resin.
Great video showing your process. Really like the depth of your surface finishes!
Love your work. Excellent video.
You show me I wasn't dreaming big enough I love it! 😍💚
:)
Great video!

actually that's what I usually do- paint over it darker- I've had quite a collection of black figures :)

Hi, we loved this video, thanks for showing us a bit, we are already subscribers of your channel, a hug from Colombia.
A great paint tutorial. Dry brushing is good for everything.
I've been struggling with painting my resin sculptures for a while now, even with many layers of varnish spray it still chips off. Do you have any reccomandations? Or am I doing something wrong?
my question is why is it chipping off. Is it because it's getting knocked over or played with?
@@SteveFerrera It's chipping off as I'm handling it while adding small bushes, while adding eyes, and glueing it to it's base, it's so strange :(
Great stuff here. Thanks for this! Keep it going!!!
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks so much for your tutorials! I'm about to start painting my first ever designer toys this week and your videos really help immensely. :D
NICE
Could it be painted right outta the mold?

Beautiful art!

This looks amazing! :0 Would you recommend using folk art paint for beginners? (I see you using different paints)
i always say try everything :)
Resin is famous for being unpaintable without a primer. How is it you got around that?
not sure... just works. I don't even wash them with soap... :)
Appreciate the run through of your technique, I’ve found quite a few artists that share their skill and I’m loving it....THANK YOU X
Glad it was helpful!

I usually use polymer clay for smaller stuff- then I can take my time :)
Thank you so much for producing these videos - helping me a lot with my own toy painting :)

I've had that happen occasionally. can't figure it out- was wondering if I didn't mix it properly
Love the hand coming out of the head, really unique!
Somewhere I have the Clockwork Orange soundtrack on vinyl....
