    I love Beam paints. They have become my go-to most of the time. The magenta/cherry is one of my favorite paints to use for purples.

    I recently purchased 3 Beam colors from an art store near Seattle when we visited my son. I love them! I have a gold, strawberry red and gray ultra. The gray ultra sometimes looks pink before it dries.

      Oh, nice. I am looking forward to trying more of their colours. I just heard that they are also starting to sell their paints in 15ml tubes!

    Thanks, great video! The opaque paints (addition of white) seem more like gouache. LOVE the Wet Grizzly, Timberwolf, Winter Night, and Mars Violet

    I'm Native American. Thank you for featuring these paints. I was considering A Gallo, however, I am going to check out this brand to support my indigenous ✊🏽 They're gorgeous colors with awesome names! I wonder if the paint stones could b freed from wrappers and just placed in another palette 🎨

      Thank you for watching 😊. I suppose they could be removed however I didn’t think of it until after I got them all wet 😆. I am pretty sure that they use waxed canvas strips now instead of paper so that might make it even easier.

    Beam Paints is one of my favorite handmade paints brands. And I love the Timber Wolf color! It’s also one of my faves from their line.
    I might have missed it, but I’d really love to know what you thought of the paper while you were swatching with it!

    • @bazutaartstudio
      @bazutaartstudio  2 года назад +1

      oh, I totally forgot to mention my experience with the paper haha. I really liked it for what I did. I haven't had a chance to really test it in terms of durability and such but for swatching it was good. The paints seemed to perform well, it didn't buckle much and it is very bright white so the colours are true. In my area it is not the cheapest paper but it is cheaper than Arches and is much whiter. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching :)

      Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it :) I am not sure if she has a store front on location but if you go to her site you can probably find distributors. Also she delivers pretty much anywhere. I am in BC and we have a small chain store called Opus that carries them.

    This is a delightful video and you have a lovely style and delivery, so I have subscribed.
    These paints are very nice but slightly misleading. Because of the narrative of beeswax and plastic-free, etc. the inference is that the pigments would be natural also. But actually, the ones I have seen seem to be industrial organic compounds and micas and are subject to the same extraction methods and production standards used in larger-scale commercially available artist paints (as well as in the automotive and other industries). Also, the packaging seems to be printed with toner, which is a plastic-based process. As a professional artist, I would be a little hesitant about the information provided about light fastness, and binder too. Finally, a large air bubble is be annoying, given the price of these paints.
    I am not dissing these, by the way, as they look very pretty, but I think a little transparency about the provenance should be included.

      A while ago, a youtube artist did a lightfast tests for those paints and they turned out to be fugitive despite being labeled lightfast. Apparently she reached out to them and they blocked her on instagram. I like the I idea of the paint being made in a traditional way but It seems like this producer is not a trustworthy one.

    Funny thing about "first nation's" languages; they are all modern and fake. None of them had a written language. They all made up their so-called languages after manifest destiny. The oldest written language of the"first nation's" was the Cherokee, but even she made it up using English alphabet in an attempt to spell out sounds.
    Personally I find that so damn impressive. To think collections of people created not only entire languages from remnants of sounds, but to also create an alphabet of of nowhere is pretty gd amazing. Speaks to how highly intelligent they were and how easily and quickly people can achieve something when they come together instead of fighting over another for the victim prize.
