This gave me some The Blackening vibes, they have been trying to get their since then maybe they finally got that spark back! Vogg being in the band might have helped Rob rejuvenate a little haha sick track!

I get you, I like Bloodstone and Diamonds, but Catharsis wasn’t that good in my opinion, I liked the title track though. I’m quite keen for the new album, the new song is awesome.😤🤘🏼
I felt they hit a great stride, until they did catharsis, that album was overall a dud for me

That was awesome!🤘🏻The riffs 🔥 Been listening to MH since they started, not so much lately but now I’m intrigued. Their debut album really changed metal imo. Same goes for Slipknot and Korn’s first albums.
Met Rob Flynn once, absolute legend. He also complimented my Supersonic jersey!
Another band that ticks all the boxes is Gojira, much love to Machine Head, The Blackening was a monster, and this sounds like what they had going on that album.
GOTTA be one of MH's best songs to date IMO. And thank you gentleman for giving it proper respect! This is just a relentless bludgeoning of fucking AWESOMENESS and I LIVE for the dain bramage!! 🤘💀🤘

The Pantera vibes in solo is a spot on comment - Vogg (also Decapitated lead giutarist since he was 16 I guess) is very much influenced by Dimebag, some people call him the Dimebag of modern metal :)

Classic Machine Head, pretty sure the new guitarist and drummer are from Decapitated.
Have been told the guitarist was, didn’t know about the drummer though!

I am not a huge fan of machine head but I did enjoy a good chunk of songs of the blackening and locust. That’s why I really dig this sound. I actually bought catharsis thinking it would be a great album but I was sorely let down. That said, this sound really shows off their strengths and damn it’s just a straight thrashy kick in the ass song. I loved the groovy breakdown they added in between. This song had a lot of slayer vibes going on, especially that solo.
Bloodstone and diamonds was as close to the blackening as they’ve been in a while
Well now this sounds SO much better than their last album "Catharsis" which was utterly crap. Great new track from them here, hope they keep it the same way through the whole album, then it will be promising.
Catharsis was indeed very underwhelming bar maybe 2 or 3 tracks
I’m with Nathan on this one, impressed on this bands longevity and talent no doubt, but I’m not huge in the vocals and era sound, been keen on nu metalcore but that’s my two cents
I’m with Nath here just wasn’t 100% for me but still the guys are talented and it was a good song!
Machine Head such a hot and cold band. They got some of the best Metal albums out there but also some of the worst
Side note: Bands need to stop throwing random letters into names and titles just because it looks cool. It severely messes with my head when my native language actually uses those letters 😂
Also it’s an absolute pain in the ass to type up in all the posts/info haha

He’s still in Decapitated and not sure if he even really plays on the song but Flynn said he had all the songs in mind how Vogg would fit in and what he would bring.

Just cause he’s outspoken about his views and is a social justice advocate? I think that’s pretty badass and he’s seems like a genuinely good person. Might be a pain in the ass to be in a band with, but I don’t think he’s “cringe” because of the aforementioned.
