Seeing this video game is making me fall in love with the film all over again! (of course Aladdin has always been my favorite Disney film so it doesn't really take much.)
Hard to believe several people worked on both this game and the Command and Conquer series. That always blows me away, even though Virgin was Westwood's publisher for much of it's history.
i played this when i was 5 and i made it to the last level, but i always had so less life left, that i could not beat the game...now i see i was soooo close from finishing it.......but wow, what a game...i think i will dig out my sega mega drive and play this again..so much memories coming up with that...
Oh the memories. I was always able to get to Jafar and to get him to his snake form, but I always seemed to run out of apples before he was defeated, even when I started the level with a completely full capacity of apples.
I beat this when I was 9 or 10 and I remember it being a great achievement for me. I would mention beating this game before I mentioned beating all the mario's or anything else. This game was and is great.
This brought back memories from my childhood growing up in the late 80's and the 90's. I thought the graphic back then where really great almost like watching the the Disney movie. It was a great game for it's time and still holds up for how old it is now.
very much tough level is the boulder level in the cave, i tried many many times to crack it failed, now after seeing the video i can try cracking that version...
Ah yes the SNES and Sega Genesis era back when you could play a Disney film video game adaptation and actually had fun playing it because because the developers actually cared about it's quality rather than just half-assing them to make some quick cash.
I don't know why but the music in this game depresses me. Maybe because it reminds me of better days when games weren't all about graphics and online multiplayer. It's funny how simple old games like these are more fun than games like Call Of Duty, and Gears of War.
I think the most bullshitty level in that game was the cave with the boulders coming after you, i don't know how many times as a kid this game kicked my ass on that level... as is i Just beat the game for the first time ever and then saw this to see if my method was correct... but i had to spend like 3-4 wishes on that damn cave level... love the lava wave one though, so many easy to get lives/genies
man this guy uses a cheat to skip like every level lmao even so I am happy for the memories of me actually beating this with no cheats took me sooooooo long to do it mostly because of the cave of wonders level that was ruff.
Yeah, I'm not seeing what was so much better about this version as opposed to the SNES version. Unclear platforms and foreground issues, annoying sound effects for the enemies, horribly looped arrangements of the movie's soundtrack (by which I mean it's not properly looped at all) and though the animations can be nice at times, the game looks overall to have been made for Game Gear as opposed to a home console. Just sayin. Oh, and no Whole New World level...what's up with that? GameGrumps, ftw
In 30 minutes youve just done what took me my entire childhood.... I dont know how to feel right now...
This, Lion King, Pocahontas, and Toy Story were my sega/disney childhood
Kingdom Hearts became my game as a teen
I never reached this level when I was child , this brings my childhood memories to life , thank you

Aladdin was one of my favorite movies growing up in the 90s in my childhood.

I Remember playing this and the other alladin on gba and that feeling was more awesome than the feeling playing forgotten sands !!
Oh the memories. I was always able to get to Jafar and to get him to his snake form, but I always seemed to run out of apples before he was defeated, even when I started the level with a completely full capacity of apples.
You sir, brought my childhood back, thank you!

I played this game when i was about 8 n i could never complete it. I also never knew that apples could be thrown. Gotta buy it and complete it!

Thanks. Great playing and memos
Sigh! Both of these versions bring back good memories but I don't know which one I like most since I like them both.
Disney should get these games out there for iphone & ipad like Sega have done with Streets of Rage, Sonic & Golden Axe!
When I was little, the farthest I got was escaping the Cave of Wonders on the magic carpet
same. and so after decades im watching this to know how many level's I had missed
Wow this is bittersweet to watch I always died on this level and never beat Jafar
Haha I never got to this level as a kid.
It's cool
Omg death by apples was that micky mouse game for sega. Game was imposible when I was little too. It was Fantashia I think or something like that.

Micky Mouse Castle of illusion and Pink Panther goes to Hollywood 2 hardest games when I was 11-12
@maxpowr90 I take it you have never been hit with an apple, what a painful way to go.
very much tough level is the boulder level in the cave, i tried many many times to crack it failed, now after seeing the video i can try cracking that version...

It's not a death, it's a knockout.

AWESOME

are you referring to the apples or to the long-range weapon?
6:44 My favorite part. I just love the Aladdin/Jasmine moments. *Sighs* So romantic.
1:48
You can see 'The Beast' to the Left. :)
Jaffar fights a bit like Dracula from Castlevania, doesn't he?
it took me weeks to get half way and i never finished it.
That first level in the video was annoying. But I did finally beat the game.
@DariusEdge2 Good eye :o
What kind of apples kill Jafar !?! lol
@Thenumber1yoshi lion king was hard
Why would Jafar have Iago cloned? Isn't ONE annoying enough?
Well it is Disney, maybe they're really the poison apples from Snow White.
How many siblings does Iago have? (Yes people. I'm sure those are his sibling.)
Throwing apples solves everything :)
Never made it this far
ooh boy 3:45 this place euurrrrgh
Uncharted of Sega Genesis era

I thought the final boss was pretty easy.
3:11 - :27 11 hits.
@maxpowr90 lelelel
5:57 - 6:40 32 hits.
its funny who it took you only half an hour to beat this game and it took me my brother and cousin 5 hours to beat that shit
Death by apples? Kind of a pathetic way to beat the last boss.
man this guy uses a cheat to skip like every level lmao even so I am happy for the memories of me actually beating this with no cheats took me sooooooo long to do it mostly because of the cave of wonders level that was ruff.
