I'd say gasoline is a a pretty good bargain considering what it takes to get at the source. It also looks like you don't lose weight on an oil rig either.
Using green steel, making rig power with CCUS and injecting CO2 back into the gas wells and careful control of methane emissions would make these a bit cleaner.
