- In 13 weeks we'll be flying to the US to stay overnight at Camp Crystal Lake on Friday the 13th. To start our preparations, let's go back to where it all began, and rewatch Friday the 13th (1980).
Can I just say, Gav, you’re having a right glow up at the moment. Fair play 👌
I'd sit next to him if I saw in on a park bench
I was gonna say!
Gav is stylish af
As a man with Greying hair and glasses, Gav's what I'm slowly aiming for.
Here's some love for Krupa to balance out all the Gav thirst in the comments: looking well fit mate ❤
Always a stud
Dan has the greatest hair of the trio for sure., big fan.
Love when Gav and Krupa do stuff like this. A spiritual successor to the Johnathan Creek series. Thank you, please!
Finally moved into my first apartment with my longtime girlfriend today! The fact that this series starts on the same day couldn't have been more awesome and I can't wait to see where it goes!!! I used to go long distance listening to your Halloween and Jonathan Creek podcasts to pass the time on the way to visit her. Now I get this when I move in. Thanks so much guys!!!!
that's so sweet, wishing you both good luck and happy days ahead!
Love this idea! Finally gives me an excuse to go through the F13 deluxe collection I got from scream factory! Also Gav gave me whiplash with how good he looks xx
Love when you guys do this kind of thing. EAGERLY awaiting the Nightmare on Elm Street pod 😂
I'm going camping with a couple friends today as well! Hope we all survive!
I know it's a product of its time but I hate that they killed a handlers snake on camera because they thought the shot was worth it. it's always really sad seeing an actual animal someone cared for be decapitated without informing the owner. the lack of empathy on that set is unreal.
Wait they did What???
@@kamuymamushi5877 yup in the scene in the bedrooms there is a snake under the bed meant to scare one of the girls and one of the guys chops its head off so he can have his macho hero moment and for the ladies to swoon at how a man acts under pressure. Truth is it was just meant to be a scare scene and the Handler had no idea they were going to kill his pet snake. Its crazy to think that the only reason we dont kill more animals in movies is because it is illegal, not because its wrong and cruel.
Italian horror in the 70s and 80s was one of the biggest culprits in this.
@@Paroex Were these the Cannibal genre Movies back then?
@@Stephano217 that's fucking bonkers, the more I hear about old school movie production the more absolutely wild shit gets revealed
Sneaky upload lads, can’t wait to watch this when I get home from work, genuinely love hearing y’all talk about things you love
Resident from New Jersey here...I know the plan is to camp where it was filmed but the camp is actually a Boy Scout camp and it is private property. They do tours during the times when the camp is not in use (like right now), but I would contact Crystal Lake Tours...because in 13 weeks it might closed and...December so pretty cold too. I just wanted you to be prepared, especially coming all that way.
Gav looking fresh as always. Great show lads, looking forward to it.
Greetings from 'Across the Pond'; I heard about you from Tampa Jay's visit to Camp Crystal Lake. 😎✌️
Voorhees a jolly good fellow
Also, really digging your work space.
I saw this movie in a public theatre.-It was scary.-The movie called "Motel Hell" was scary, too! 😮
So we're all making BMWs for the last episode, right?
17:45 Gav's point here is based on urban legends which are, largely, based on fact. Specifically large amounts of adrenaline allow for feats of incredible strength because they don't allow you to feel the pain of so disastrously over-exerting your muscles. So yeah, Pam could *theoretically* throw a guy out a window at 60, but she'd be fucking shattered afterwards.
Great video to wake up to, very excited what such original content!
Great t-shirt Krupa ❤
Great stuff boys! Have you considered a bonus episode looking into the connection with the New Jersey fictional myth of George Crospey that inspired the film and how 2 other films inspired by this came out soon after 'The Burning' (1981) & 'Madman' (1982).
😂 Krupa a thoroughly lovely dude - strip solitaire with a female astronaut.. I had to stop I was worried for her safety 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve never laughed so much. You Sir are a genius!!
I like when Betsy Palmer was in this then said “they won’t let me guest star on Sesame Street anymore”
12:27 I remember going to Llangranog at school. Great fun!
Same!
I think Daniel is missing the point of strip Monopoly if he is concerned the game will be over too quickly. 36:20
From Creek to Crystal Lake - nice! I walk alot and wondering if you have an audio only upload of these?
I'd imagine you guys are aware of this, but you should check out the Bava film Bay of Blood if you haven't seen it. Giallo generally and that film specifically are bit influences on 80s slasher series.
All those images and props in the background ... that's the RKG extra effort and attention to detail.
Love this (seeing my mask is a cool little buzz)
Been absolutely years since I've watched the original f13 but I always remembered the kids actually bullying jason into the water but that could just be memory degradation.
Getting Max Payne vibes from Gav. Fkin cool outfit
Can’t wait for this. Nightmare on Elm Street next year?
Holy moly, Gav is looking well these days
He be hitting that gym and eating write. Looking really healthy. 👍
Do you guys know how cold New Jersey is going to be when you get there???
Happy Friday the 13th 👻
Oh Gav if you're wondering how sharp a blade can be /how easy it is to chop through people might i suggest just watching some clips of forged in fire. The blades created some of them are as sharp as a blade can go and they test on the ballistic dummies that have the same consistency and bone density as people.
What if Jason’s dad is crazy Ralph?
Invented BMW 😂😂
Nice vid
I had 2 BMW's 1 night in an all you can drink night club. i did not drink anything else that night, i am not sure how i even got out of the club let alone home🤢🤮🤢🤮

That’s not Gavin, who is this body-double body-builder?
Wow what? Thats Gav!? Elden Ring episodes must be very very far behind... it doesnt even look like him!
Wait. Hold on. Gav looking svelte. Lost weight? Looking good man.
Random observation: Gav says "bonkers" a lot, and I fucking love the way he says it. It's like "BON-kahz". :p
See also: when he says Bongo (welsh slang for nudie content) "BONN-GO"
I've started saying "bonkahz" and "yor joakin me" to myself quite often lol
Loved the Halloween podcast where he kept saying Loomis had some BONKHAZ lines
Gavin, you have the greatest salt-n-pepper hair I have ever seen. Looking great and Daniel still looking like he hasn’t aged since the first time I saw him lol
Right? Where's the aging painting of Krupa hidden?
Gav you are looking great mate! You crushed the weightloss journey!
When did he start losing weight? He really does look amazing.
@@owenhad8221 I'm coming back to this channel on and off, I remember him talking about a personal trainer since prepare to try
Boys, PLEASE do more content like this. Love just watching you guys out of the lets play world just shooting the breeze, especially about horror films. Would love to eventually see you talk about the George Romero films.
ive never seen this side of gav's face
The little smirk just before Gav says "quite a lot" in response to the amount of necking that goes on is perfect
Another installment from my favorite RUclips channel, RBG, where we watch a game of strip Monopoly with hosts Gavin Murphy, Rory Powers, and Billy Bollocks
I saw this movie in a public theatre.-It was scary.-The movie called "Motel Hell" was scary, too! 😮
Best birthday gift I could ask for. Thanks boys!
Love this sort of stuff. Thanks Krupa and Gav.
Love to hear Gav’s summer camp stories. I’ve spent the last 11 summers working at a camp in upstate New York. I’m one of the “olds”, in charge of overseeing the hundreds of horny college-aged counselors from all over the globe. It’s wild, they make some really dumb choices.
I think Krupa is putting more thought into to the motivations of Mrs Vorhees than the writers did
Couldn’t ask for a better birthday gift than this video on my birthday:)
guys, it shouldn't have to be said but getting yourself killed by a fictional movie villian before you finish elden ring would really dampen the mood of the series. be careful out there
Llangrannog reference!! Good effort Gav boy!😂
Whoo the legends. Love your work. 🎉
lets goooooo! I was looking for a way to switch into Halloween mode a little early and this is the perfect excuse 👻😄
I hope at least one person has walked by the studio and gotten freaked out at the Jason mask in the window. In a nice way, of course!
Friday the 13th was the first 18 rated film I saw aged 9 in 1980. It scared me so much, I threw up into my supper. After a broken night's sleep I couldn't get out of bed as I thought Mrs Vorhees was under there waiting to put an arrow through me. Great vid guys.
Definetly gonna be watching em with you boys, also I went the first 10 minutes of this video thinking that picture of Mrs. Voorhees in the back of the shot was a picture of Rory
That’s weird, part VI was the first one I saw too, as my step brother had it. It was only decades later I found out there was a weird little Jason with a bag on his head in the earlier film.
Loving this podcast idea lads. Am planning to keep pace and watch one film each week with my partner.
She's recovering from surgery as of today so this has come in at the perfect time for a first watchalong.
Just now realizing I live an hour from camp crystal lake 💀 I'll have to check it out sometime this year!
I remember ordering this film online because id never seen it. On the back of the DVD was a picture of dead Kevin Bacon with an arrow through his neck. Cheers DVD case for ruining that for me 😂
Me and the wife have never seen Friday the 13th, much like we hadn't seen any of the Halloween films.
We'll be fixing that tonight, and then following on with this!
20:39 Gav stop bamboozling poor baby Ramen! He was wondering who called him!😂🥰
Davis Patricia Jackson Edward Rodriguez Christopher
Gav having to learn all those knots back in Cubs is finally paying off. Transformers kid would be a goner
Lmao Dan figuring out the days and weeks between, verified neurospicy moment.
You guys should have stayed at Camp Colomendy in North Wales! That was a true nightmare!

Gav out here looking handsome as hell with his mustache, stubble, and salt n pepper slick-back.
You think that’s slicked back? That’s pushed back.
@@HoneyHandsH tomato, tomahto-still looks fantastic.
@@HoneyHandsH I'm worried the Rory thinks people can't change.
No Friday the 13th is complete without Sloppy Steaks..
“how dare you” 😂
Regarding the snake wrangler, the story is that he wasn't told that his snake was going to be killed because it wasn't planned for the shot but the director decided it was "needed". And, yes, the story is that the wrangler was distraught and had to be restrained during the scene. It's gross and tarnishes an already average-at-best film.
I turned this on exactly at 12:00am on Friday the 13th in America! Crazy 🤪
MATE there are dry ski slopes in Pontypool park.
And, germane to the topic at hand, Pontypool is a good horror movie!
