It may sound weird, but watching how much our guys have grown, both personally and professionally, makes me feel like a very, very proud grandparent. Especially how they've maintained their joy in their music and their humility with all their success. May we continue to be blessed with their musical gifts and presence for years to come. So grateful for all the wonderful moments they've shared with us.
I know exactly how you feel. The last few "updates" have, l think, made a lot of us reassess HF and what they've done and what they mean to us. We have travelled with them all this time, watching them grow and mature. When they did the Sing Off they were still so young even though they had been touring for ever, but now they're mature, they're comfortable in their sound and in their abilities... They've grown up and it's been wonderful to watch and makes you excited for whatever they do in the future.
I feel the same way !!! They have enriched my life so much and I am grateful for them and their music. I feel very lucky to have been to several concerts because they are Fabulous live !!!
I found them 5 years ago- had to go back to watch the Sing Off. They’re the only a cappella band that I enjoy and love. Something about their vocal blend is indescribable . All I can say is that I feel better when I’m listening to Home Free.
Thanks for the double feature. I like Tim's bass part on the "Sing Off'. But other than that I like the redone version better with them doing the whole song. Loved the video too showing the guys upgrading to different trucks. It is like their journey as a group. They upgrade all the covers they do. These guys just keep getting better & better & how handsome they all look!
@@brendagrothier967I think a lot of the featuring of Austin and Tim on the Sing Off was at the insistence of the producers. They wanted those two featured. I’ve heard the guys had to push back to get Rob in the forefront of Colder Weather.
@@brendafrazier811 I've heard the same thing. They were told that featuring Rob on Colder Weather could send them home, but they wanted to stay true to themselves. Rob has also talked about being clean-shaven prior the show, and he was told that he had to grow a beard before shooting.
Awsome version: they have me on this version when they keep the Adam’s “come on “ ❤ So smart doing the two versions 😉 keep doing it I’ll keep watching 🙏🏻🇧🇷
If you've ever checked out the series of videos about the History of Home Free, the old beat up blue van was kind of a nod to their earliest years when they really struggled. There's a hilarious, but at the same time rather tragic story about an old van they used to get around in. Worth watching the series, it's fascinating. Yeah, they haven't lost a bit of the energy and joy they bring to their craft. We are very lucky to get to enjoy these wonderful, talented guys. Great reaction.
Wow! I loved your comments! I always enjoy your Home Free reactions, but when you were talking about how much Home Free has given us, it made me tear up because it’s so true!
They did an absolutely amazing job with this new version of this song. Well Austin was only 27 on The Sing Off. I wish I could have been on the party bus with them. I always really enjoy watching your reaction to this song.
I liked when they did this as their first competition song on The Sing-Off, and even though at the time I doubted it could get even better, they've proved me happily wrong 🤣 #HomeFree
That was unreal.OMG my boys are just ridiculous now.Sooooo Good.Thanx Lyle for your great reactions.Ive watched your sing off reaction vid at least 10-15times.shame lol😊😂
If you’ve listened to their music, watched their videos, gone to a concert, or shared their videos with your friends, you have helped them get where they are. No substitute for their amazing talent, but they depend on their fans. You are important.
Just think about how much content they have put out in the last 10 years. I’ll bet most groups don’t even have anywhere near the same amount. It’s just so amazing. Glad we can still hear the old versions and now the new versions.
What an amazing journey indeed! Love HF! Can you imagine them signing with a record label? Heck no! Great reaction Lyle! Love from a Texas Home Fry! 🤠🤠🤠
Too cool, great upgrade and putting in all the verses since they couldn’t on the sing-off. Very good to see them both side by side!👍👍 They have grown and improved so much! ❤❤ Love all of your reactions Lyle!❤
They just keep getting better & better! Without the time constraints of the Sing Off, I like their new version even more. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing are sooo good! They are those lucky men who keep getting better looking every year! If anyone knows who the man at the back of the party bus is (brown baseball cap), please post it!
Wow! That was a fun contrast to watch!! Yes, they have come a long way, tighter vocals and harmonies. I love the side-by-side comparison! I can't believe they've been doing this for 10 years. I only came to know of them through your channel in 2020! You say they brought us through those hard times, but I have to say you brought us through those hard times! I'm thankful I came across you when I did!! When everything else was shutting down, you were growing more and more!! Maybe you should do a side by side of one of your first reactions compared to a reaction now!!! That would be fun!! I enjoyed this ! Great song!💜🎶💜 Thank you, Lyle!!!! I enjoy you and your channel and community!!
Sooo good. Yeah just like the vehicles getting upgraded they upgraded the song. Boy, they’re good. Adam was great. Loved it. I just missed a little more Tim on the one part. It was more blended instead of a Tim solo. Still crushed it. Good one Lyle!😍😄
Hey Lyle, yes, they did it it again i love the new version and the video is great! Love all the cars they use, thanks for your reaction hugs from Norway! 🫂🫂💞💞👏🏽👏🏽🚘🚘
Hey Lyle! Thanks for your great reaction I’ve loved this song since I first heard it from FL-GA Line and I loved Home Free’s abbreviated version on the Sing Off. I’m so glad they decided to revisit it so we can have the whole song! Love it!
I love this re-make! You’re so right about their growth as a group. This would sound better being it was a studio recording, but they’ve really evolved. I think back to seeing this on the Sing Off ten years ago and just being absorbed with this group! They had me hooked with their sound and they definitely had charm on their side, too! Then each week I liked them more and more. I found myself searching for them on the web and RUclips. I’m so excited for this album and looking forward to seeing what they do with the rest of the re-covers! Also, I am very happy Chris started this group 23 years ago, but I will say that their sound changed somewhat when Chance joined the group. I can’t explain it, but it feels like their sound is fuller. Anyway, loved your reaction! I know you’re a loyal fan and fellow Home Fry. It’s always more enjoyable when you know the reactors has followed them along (even partially) on their ride to success.
Home Free always manages to get me to like a song that I actually don't like at all. 😊 Awesome! The all so different amazing voices of HF sound and harmonize so well together and that in combination with the phenomenal beatboxing is just perfect!❤
Austin wasn't that far from his years of hiding his twang in the Sign Off version, he's let it fly over the last 10 years. You know video shoots have to be long, boring, hard work, etc., but they always manage to convince us that they are just having a great time - over and over again.
Lyle, always enjoy your thoughtful, well-spoken reactions, especially when it comes to Home Free. Too many reactors play a video and their only comment is 'Hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.' Definitely a maturity in terms of the sound, the interpretation, the creativity they've acquired over time and the overall production. Some of those early performances, allowing for the constraints of the show, feel very rushed and lacking a certain control. Now they can pace their delivery, which results in a more well-rounded, smoother quality.
It's great to have a full version of the song, but I really miss Tim's solo rap in the bridge. I was hoping for something closer to that arrangement - I guess for the sake of my Sing-Off memories. Don't get me wrong, the new version is very good. If I'd heard that version first, I would probably be my favorite. That said, I'd say the Sing-Off version is still my favorite of the two.
Thanks for showing the 2 videos together. This one seems to really contrast their maturity and growth. However, I do sort of prefer The Sing-Off version's arrangement. For one, it captures their emotions of the competition (I've described it bad). It also reminds me that I didn't discover HF until about 3.5 years ago. All that time lost...
I was really disappointed in the new version that they cut out Tim's solo parts. Even in the rap section with Austin, they mixed it so Austin's voice is prominent and you can hardly hear Tim.
I liked when they did this as their first competition song on The Sing-Off, and even though at the time I doubted it could get even better, they've proved me happily wrong 🤣 #HomeFree

At first I couldn’t first I couldn’t figure out why only Chance was driving that Ford van. Then I figured it out. It’s a stick!
More full, more rich, more twang, more verses, more Home Free, what's not to love?
Chance has really added a richness to their sound that’s just beautiful. Plus his projects with them are among my favorites.
Awsome version: they have me on this version when they keep the Adam’s “come on “ ❤

I’ll keep watching 🙏🏻🇧🇷

They had fun cruising up & down Broadway playing their own music!!

Lol, thank you for watching.
Nice! Thanks, Lyle! Cheers!
I want to go scootering with Home Free! Wonder if Chance was the only standard transmission driver. He was the only one to drive that old van.
I thought the same thing about Chance driving the old van.
I saw a comment (don’t remember where) that Chance is the only one that could drive a manual transmission.
I really enjoyed this you can tell how much their voices have matuted. Love that gou hear Chance.
I couldn't agree with you more Lyle. I'm so proud of them (like I had anything to do with their success). 🤣🍟

@@annehffry3284 Of course. I was just being slightly facetious. 😆 But great point Anne. 💖
So beautiful i couldn't agree more! 🥹💝💞
They are terrific! I love their harmony! They are funny too!❤😂
I like that you showed both versions. They have improved so much.

I think Chance should wear more hats like the one in the video more often.
I totally agree. Have you seen “The Whistling Lad” with the Hound and the Fox? Chance is wearing the boating cap, and he looks amazing.
This is so very awesome! These guys are so incredible! Love your reaction!

This is another killer video and song. Love these boys.❤️❤️❤️

He definitely let his twang out since Sing Off. he hadn’t been singing with his southern accent until he joined HF
Such a fun one. I sure would like to have been on that party bus. Wouldn't THAT be a night?
Made it, great job again.

Whose the person sitting in the left corner behind the guys. I just saw him 😊😅😂
There's two extra in the bus...don't know who they are.
Camera guys/crew members they were cruising with lol
I just saw one. After 6 or 7 times watching the video. 🤣🤣
Bar tender? Chance has a glass of something. 😂
Any of the guys can turn that country twang on or off at will depending on the song.
