Storm rush really needs to be a light party punish, it’s way too powerful a tool with next to no risk for the orochi.
Technically it can be, if you’re able to block the storm rush, depending on the player they throw a light in the same direction of the storm rush that you could parry after for a free light parry. Someone like nox switches up into the heavy ub mix if they know the price for it not landing but the average orochi doesn’t cause they’re so set on it landing to get the free light.
@Surrattaton it's not reactable on 60fps either. It has to be read.
@@theonlyMoancore if you put the time in to train your mind to parry lights, it is 100 percent react able on next gen consoles. You’ll see what I’m talking about if you go in training, take move cooldown off and have the bot do the storm rush at you. Don’t get frustrated at first you’ll miss quit a few, but Once you get good at parrying it, you’ll find that its not hard to deflect either.
King Angelus, please set up a match between Nox Argentum and Nova King! I saw you did something similar with Havok and the number one warden and would love to see this orochi match up!

No JJ’s sifu stance is also safe. Orochi just made more reads leading him to victory
@@obamasoe9392 JJ’s sifu stance might have I-frames, but Orochi can still catch him with his undodgable dodge attacks. Effectively that makes using sifu stance more of a danger than a tool

Imho- It's not that Storm rush isn't reactable, it's that it's a powerful tool that is easily accessible and it can be canceled to gb, or a UD light, or a side light, or a kick, or a zone, or empty. That's a lot to deal with in a short time window. Perhaps make the stamina cost greater?

Just bait and parry the dodge attack. Shutting down storm rush would help too obviously, but I almost never feint to gb against orochis because they will always just dodge light. All fetus needed to do was feint that chain unblockable and then parry nox's dodge light.
yup, that's what i do to every pirate, orochi, and valk. they're notorious for dodge attack.

Fr, I can see how orochi is oppressive on console but on pc, my zone and stormrush can be blocked and parried fairly easily by high level players, making orochi unviable imo.

Jj failed to adapt to the current situation, and Knox took advantage of this specialy when jj failed to punish his storm rushes. Thus the reason of the spam fest.

He was doing that on purpose... he got cocky and sloppy af when he did that (starting like 2 matches before that moment, actually), but it was not an accidental panic dodge attack. Just pure cockiness. If you look at his other fights, he doesn't ever do that kind of thing

I mean that’s the mind game tho. The JJ knows he’s against a really good player and that sorta thing is a low level player move. So JJ wouldn’t expect it, that’s why it worked for nox. Sometimes the really low level moves are the best against high level players because they wouldn’t expect you to do that

Small fetus didn't use sifu pose as much as he usually does. They worked amazing when he did tho
sifu is mostly used as a recovery cancel on his attacks, usually its a very strong move but orochi has a undodgeable light dodge attack its very hard to if at all to use it, and the sifu swirl move cant be feinted so its going to get parried 99% of the time

If you haven’t noticed, that jj throws a top heavy unblockable after every singular attack. People say “dynamic player” but he’s really just spamming the same combo over and over
Not to mention the enormous health pool jj has that makes him low risk high reward with that play style

@@sneezybot6327 realistically speaking JJ is much more braindead. Orochi's moves are so punishable and his hp makes it worse. Nox is just so good at utilizing Orochi to the highest.
