Ryan, I started listening to Jamie Sieber years ago; I was hooked. Last month someone sent me a video of 2 Cellos; awesome dudes. The cello speaks to my soul somehow, perhaps there is some subsonic resonance going on as it is a very good deep down vibe; kinda like listening to whales. ;>} Many can play the notes on a cello but few can make it sing capturing the soulful nuance. Anyway, I am always on the hunt for great cello. I listened to this today and just smiled. How cool are you? I am now subscribed, a big fan, wish you well. and will be listening for years. In one movement you became one of my favorites. I, Ryan, am an instant fan.

Why has this popped in my RUclips now insteas of 7 year's ago!.. Evrryone that knows me know that im a fan of world music & all the instruments that are played within it & even the use of non musical instruments like tge drum/kettle/pots & pans & large to small emulsion tubs can be used to make music & if you can think of a way of playing music on non musical instruments then go for it , as how'd do you think the modern drums came about!.. Steve has been on my radar for decades & even now hes still trying out new ideas to make him s more accomplished player... I've always thought of Steve as those martial artists that know even if they stsrt to learn as they walk & live to be very mobile at 100 they are never going to learn every thing there is to learn , as martial arts has been around so long you'd need to live quite a few lifetimes to even come close to knowing... Oh i firgot to mention , thats only even if someone studied one particular style... I never put fighting style when describing martial arts as its about avoiding fighting & trying to control a situation before it has begun & i've seen many leave the dojo after various different time because , again , its not about teaching someone to attack but defend when necessary & then deal with the opponent with minimal about of damage to them... As we are not in the dark ages anymore & a good teacher will know how to show a good pupil that theres a difference in avoidance than confrontation & its very easy to just lose one's control & go straight to confrontation & taking your time to know who you are & what you can accomplish is just the same principle or idea as picking up a guitar & learning to play it... Knowing how Steve thinks he'll keep trying to take his guitar playing on a constant onward journey when most would've stopped & just played at the point they are at but any follower or listener of Steve's knows he is constantly trying to do more on his guitar & seeing this cover is how , i believe , Steve thinks , as he doesn't think in one dimension & although im 7 years too late to this i hope Steve has seen this & been amazed at this rendition of " Bad Horsie " and is lifted by the fact its being played on a different instrument that you wouldn't think of doing any guitar number never mind one of Steve's instrumentals... Much kudos goes to the young gentleman for doing this as not only is it amazing but he'll have inspired others to try something different on their specific chosen instrument & for those who like to experiment & try out new ways to play their instrument should feel inspired to continue on with their musical journey... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
