Smith and Laird are finished. Stop saying we're a rebuilding team when we don't play the talented young guns we have in the list. We just got beat by a REAL rebuilding team that invests in their youth. Hilariously, we've got more talented young players then they do BUT WE DONT EVEN PLAY THEM!!!!! Poor Dowling, Taylor, Bond and others must be thinking there's nothing they can do to play.
They will leave and shine at another club because they don't get a chance there's at least 6 players in today's team that shouldn't be there but get picked week in week out season over
There's basically no talent in our list. Justin Reid has slowly destroyed this club.

How many times do you have to 'go back and look at it' until something changes? absolutely pathetic.. season on the line, saturday afternoon at the MCG and nobody turns up until the second half. Have been a Nicks supporter but if he can't get the playing group fired up for this he has to go.. take a few list cloggers with you too please Matty. Pathetic.
This club is going no where and hasn’t been for years.

Players like Jones and Murphy will never play on a premiership team. Every week I manage to build myself up to believe in Nicks and this group yet they always disappoint. Time to go, we need a harder edge as a team and I'm losing faith weekly that this coaching group will ever bring it.
Also. Unfortunately Nick will pay for this with his job but our list managing and drafting is the reason we are in this spot. Draft nothing players and they show little development.
When do we realise it’s not entirely our coaching group and we just have an average at best list.
Nicks coaches a brand of footy that keeps up with the best teams in the competition when we play at our best. He can only do so much if half our list doesn’t want to try hard enough

Secondly the inconsistency falls more with the coaching compared to the talent of the players.

How does he always say “we’re better than that” when all he’s done is constantly lose for 5 years. Surely at some point you take a reality check and hold yourself accountable. Really hope what nicks was writing up in the coaches box at the end of the game was a resignation letter

Either Nicks is losing his message in the change room or we have players that aren't mentally strong enough to switch on, week in and week out.
the purpose of a coach is to win premierships, regardless of how realistic it is to actually achieve one. nicks has long had his grace period, now it's time to put pressure on him to actually perf... oh wait, we prematurely signed him to another two years.
Affraid to make changes.. too many favourite players getting a gig each week. He can't take us any further this bloke.

Unfortunately Matthew, we are NOT better than that. That's part of the issue right there. We are not a better team than that. So something has to change. And you bringing McHenry back in is not going to change anything.
This guy has no answers, deer in headlights week in week out. Going nowhere with guys like ROB (bloke didn't take a mark for the game- not one) Crouch and Laird's statistical numbers are a moot point because when we don't win clearance they are nowhere. In fact, they're complete liabilities because they dont have the speed or ability to be defensively accountable with two way running. Keays has absolutely zero polish, Murphy has had 100 games too many, Smith should've retired 3 years ago. Keep playing Nanks, Cook, Shoenbery, Berry these kids need games. The season is a write off, now it's just about development. It has to be.

Nicks robbed newchurch of a debut. Was too obsessed with murphy instead and should of rookie listed blaine o'loughlin. Rather watch SANFL!
Comments section is insane. I see a lot of blaming the coach and minimal on the players that were on the ground. It was one of the worst Crows performances I've seen in a while.
He's responsible for putting those players out there. Blind Freddy has seen for weeks that ROB, Smith, Laird and others like McHenry should not be getting games at the moment.
He's had five fucking years to get this right mate.

Like to see a Nicks coached Crows team actually stop a run of goals or even start a game well apart from when we are playing the bottom of the table teams. Our players are mentally fragile what we need is no fear terminators.
Start to look at the list . To many plays of same type . Plus small bodies .

Whose bloody idea was it to sign Nick's to a 2 year contract extension earlier this year? 2020 and 2021, nobody expected us to do any good because we had a young list and an inexperienced side. It's been 3/4 years since then, we've improved and missed the 8 last year. But I'm afraid to say it, if the club doesn't get rid of Nick's after 2026. He'll be Adelaide's version of Ken Hinkley. Can't say I'm looking forward to next year
Don't worry fans. He will drop 3 players and bring 3 players that are useless, than will rotate same 3 players again again. Pick youth ffs love Smith but needs to go. Murphy no good rachele needs a spell in reserves to simple. Quit or make some tough calls simple!
Yep 100 percent all the players u named and more need to go he's to soft sometimes u got to be cruel to be kind swing the axe and watch players change there attitude
2 also why did Hamill get dropped after the pies game. Did his job on hill kept his impact to minimal 🤷♂️ but keeps smith, Jones and Murphy in the team

@adamperre4852 I agree Reid needs to go aswell need new recruiting staff. Need players that can actually use the ball and hit a simple 20 metre kick. Ro many players crumble in our team
completely out coaches today. it’s gonna be the same old “back the boys in” mentality. gutless and unable to be ruthless. Stop persisting with the same players who week in week out show they’re either past it, or won’t make it in the big time. today was pathetic, lucky to only lose by 5 goals in the end

ROB might be the worst ruckman in the league. The bloke has zero football skill. Being tall doesn’t mean you’re a good ruck. Learn to take a grab and more importantly learn how to kick the f’ing ball!

So true, tired of the same taps, so readable goes to the opposition almost every time, faces the wrong direction constantly, never attempts to punch the ball could possibly hit into the fifty if he tried.
Hoping they announce his tenure is done on Monday, need to go into 2025 with a whole new coaching group Nicks is not that guy and never was.
Time to start tanking for next year

Our previous coaches Sando and Pyke got our team into the finals within a year of them coaching. Nicks has been with the club for 5 years and has gotten us nowhere.
But then what happens? The camp that destroyed the club their were no issus with camps and training with Sando and pyke

it's scary to think that we actually looked dangerous with Soli, Berry and a second year player in Max going in there at the start of the last quarter
Let’s call it like it is, did not attack, did not defend well in that first half, where Hawthorn, was excellent (pay respect to the opponent). Season is over, play the youngsters (Jones was awesome). The best teams, all have a dip year, our best is good enough, coming up against a team that is well oiled, Nicks gets one more year (he came from Sydney). Well done Hawks, polished.
