Kudos for the goalie with white and green for alternating which leg he stood up on during the face-off. He stayed consistent in his spot on the ice.

I noticed this too. Very cool! I think he's one of the instructors that works with Nick though. Everything he does is so clean.

As a goalie you've taught me a million things and I really appreciate it. These kids will be fantastic goalies because of your school.

I am a hockey cosom goaltender and I arrived just for the playoffs, I was so good at my debut my team decided to lend me the starting position and I was the 2nd best goalie of the playoffs after a sec 5 who was also insane.

I love these videos, but I struggle going into the RVH.
I’ve felt a twinge in my knee a couple times trying to drop down like that, is this possibly an impingement issue? Or is there some stretching I need to do specifically to drop in like this?

Is there a good way to practice the RVH in ball hockey? I am a ball, and more recently an ice hockey goalie, and a lot of my techniques are similar for both sports. I usually use a standing post hug or the VH in ball hockey, but I have not had many situations where the RVH would be useful, because the RVH is a very awkward position to get into without skates. Rollerfly sliders do give me some ability to slide, but it is not the same as playing on ice. If I can get used to the RVH in ball hockey, I might be able to get used to it more in ice hockey.

Do you have any tips for goalies who have played VH in high-school and lower levels, but are working to incorporate RVH at the higher levels? My biggest hang up is getting used to the feel of RVH an my glove side as I feel awkward with my glove placement.
    Thanks!

Improve your edge-work. That is the key issue with the majority of adult goaltenders. Take skating lessons as there is always room for improvement. Once you feel comfortable rapidly grabbing the ice, you will drop into the RVH quick enough. The anchor leg is required to stay active while gripping the ice to have a full post seal.
