After update will I find my data or it will be like a reset

So my Galaxy S10 plus is stuck on Android 9 1.1 UI and I've tried updating it off and on for years and it keeps saying its updated to the latest version if I do this in the video will this actually update it to the real latest version?
Plus I entered that number and it just shows the first 3 it doesn't even show my model?
You can also find model name via Settings>About phone> Model number> then you will see for example SM-G970F then search it up in samfw.com, choose your region and chech Android 12 availability. Make a backup first because all your data will be wiped after flashing firmware!

I just wonder if it's fine if I immediately try to install the android 12 or I must upgrade to android 10 first, then 11 and 12 respectively.

Also, the "region" show in my phone is ATT, which is the carrier name rather than the real region. Is it fine if I flash it with the firmware of other regions but still for the same model?
You can find out easily if it's possible. Open dialer and enter *#1234#. You will see Model name. Go to samfw.com and search model name, if it appears then it is 100% possible

That's bad because it can cause the issue with mobile provider if you install another region firmware. You can't find Android 10 or 11 for your region?
Does this work with carrier specific samsungs??? Can it remove carrier specific rom and or region specfic rom???

Hi you can install any available region firmware for your device from samfw. But I cannot ensure you 100% that will work with all carriers in Australia.

Hi i quess it's better to install same regio/country firmware because of CSC file: it contains geo-specific settings: system language, APN settings and carrier branding. CSC of a Samsung Galaxy phone firmware contains the code-name of the country/region for which it is built.
My version is north America (USA) and I got the phone online here in Africa, how do I choose my region please?

If your network works with USA firmware version in Africa you can upgrade it directly from Android 10 to 12. Just download stock firmware and flash it with Odin.

It is possible but may cause issues with mobile provider if you deviate from the original firmware

Why my downloaded file comes with a userdata consist of 1.27gb should i drag this on user data? Evern your tuts has no userdata file. Btw Im using s10 sprint

Hi, you can try to switching network mode then set network to auto. After this go to settings, about phone and, reset network settings. Then reboot. Please let know if this helps

Yes u will pls make a backup first. You don't need to unlock the bootloader. Enable OEM-unlocking from developers mode will be enough

I currently use a g975u at&t with my bootloader unlocked. I messed up magisk while updating it. I am currently on Android 10. Since I need to perform a clean flash, I might as well update the software, yeah? Only question I have, will a clean flash re-lock my bootloader?

It's possible that some of the apps are not compatible with Android 12. Did u check for apps update in Play or Galaxy store?

No, I installed Australia region. Should I again repeat the whole procedure since I am from Pakistan region.
Did you tried this>Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Search now then select your carrier's network.
