I don’t think of this song as a love song but I also can relate with a different type of love/hate. A very important person left me a year ago when I wasn’t home and I haven’t seen here since. Ever since then I’ve needed to go to therapy due to her leaving. I hate her for leaving but miss her a lot. But when a mother figure leaves you it hurts a lot. So in a way I relate without having a romantic relationship with someone.
