  • Thank you all so much for watching ❤️ I'm slowly starting to learn about the ASMR community and it's been so much fun interacting with you all in the comments section! Thank you all for being such kind and caring people and I'm so grateful to have been introduced to you all!

    A little bit about me:
    Hi! My name is Fern and I used to run a holistic business called Tranquility in a wonderful and calming space at the back of my house. Due to financial constraints, I gave up the profession but have always missed that connection and calmness I felt when helping others.
    I’ve recently discovered ASMR via my daughter Melissa, who has convinced me to start this channel! Please join me on my journey of rediscovering these treatments and trying to help others relax - via the screen this time around!
    I am currently making these videos as a way of remembering these treatments I used to offer. Sadly, I am not running my treatment room at the moment. ❤️
    *************************
    If you’d like to support my work, please consider donating to my Ko-fi! (ko-fi.com/fern...) Any amount is much appreciated!
    Disclaimer: Holistic therapies shown on this channel are for ASMR purposes only and not intended as medical advice. Please conduct your own research before pursuing a therapy or consult a GP for medical advice.

      Thank you. It was quite nerve wracking as alongside relearning hand reflexology, I was filming as well! Who knew filming was so challenging even though i am secretly quite enjoying focusing on something so different! Definitely keeping my brain active. 😊

    One tip. Previews are great, but it's advisable to add chapters if you lead with an intro, because many people look for the things used in the intro to skip to.

    It’s nice to see that You’re comfortable and confident enough to make videos on your own as well 😊 I think it’s quite brave. What I really like about your style, is that you don’t prolong the video, however it doesn’t feel rushed, either. You’re efficient! 😁 I personally don’t get relaxed when someone spend time on one little detail for minutes, quite contrary I become annoyed and almost edgy 😂

    So what is the difference between reflexology and acupressure?

    • @canthandlemehun
      @canthandlemehun Месяц назад +1

      @fc4660 perhaps she was asking Fern 😊

    • @FernsHolisticASMR
      @FernsHolisticASMR  Месяц назад +2

      A very simple explanation would be that reflexology is based around Zone therapy and focuses on using the feet, hands, ears and face as a conduit to clear the zones. Acupressure is based on the 14 Meridian lines with 100’s of acupoints along each of them, so a therapist can work over the whole body to realign energy flow and target specific areas - similar to acupuncture but without the needles! I have a wonderful book by Janet Wright - Reflexology and acupressure. For each ailment she guides you through which reflexology moves to do on the hands or feet, but also gives you the acupressure points as an alternative way of working. A client often has a preference for one or the other! 😊

    Hi Fern! 👋 Is there any reflexology point for appetite or food craving suppression? Please forgive my question if you’ve already addressed this in some video. 🙏 Love your videos! ❤

    • @FernsHolisticASMR
      @FernsHolisticASMR  Месяц назад

      This is very much a specialist area and it would be better for you to work with an experienced therapist so that the correct therapy is used, possibly one who also understands nutrition and can support you with this. Reflexology treatments do increase metabolism which could help with weight loss, acupressure points such as GV 26 can also help, but this would require some research to understand the techniques required. If you want to explore this yourself maybe a local college might run a course or an on-line course could provide you with more knowledge. My recommendation would be to look at an overall approach which includes a look at nutrition, exercise and the use of therapies, as that has a much better chance of success and expertise to help and support you. ❤️

    I love your videos, but I'm not in a position to enjoy them. Just as I'm getting relaxed, my wife jolts me out of it with, "HEY! I'm talking to you!" Very stressful. Worse yet, just as I'm falling asleep, she wakes me up with some late night chore she wants me to do. I'm such a bundle of nerves, ASMR doesn't even work for me anymore. Thank you anyway for putting out these golden videos that other people can benefit from.

    I'd love to see asmr with blizzard and fireplace sounds in the background. But please, i beg of you, no rain or water sounds. Water sounds make me pee rather than relax. TMI i know.
