Y’all are completely missing the fact that they were a motorcade for the sitting vice president. The main job is to protect the VP, not get a drunk driver. The immediate patrol around VP Harris was more likely to take off with her thinking it was an attempted disablement of her motorcade. Nobody should get fired, they were doing their job.

They did the right thing. Their job is to protect her not investigate random lawbreakers. Continuing to drive forward is much better than instigating conflict with members of the public. The deputies did their job for which they were trailing the motorcade.

i want to see what happens after the stop... seems sketchy that it just gives text and doesnt allow for anyone to see the full event. its not like the camera died. plus isnt this how police normally position their vehicles when chatting. facing opposing driverside to driver side... that last car was probably discussing the job well done in this staged event. with harris being vp SS would have used at least 1 of the very first vehicles to divert the suspects vehicle at the very least while the others drove off
