Hi all wrong! The calibration you perform, is wrong! The S22 and S12 cal, is wrong! You perform the calibration at the end of the cable not at instrument port 2!
Merry Christmas to you too! You want to calibrate to your intended reference plane. Because I was demonstrating that the instrument was functional and not concerned with the reference plane for this measurement, I calibrated to the ports on the front of the instrument. It made it easier to capture everything on the video. This was intended to be a demonstration of the instrument itself which I was selling with the idea of deleting the video once the instrument was sold. It was not intended to be a tutorial on how to calibrate for a general measurement.
Please consider watching other channels like The Signal Path if you prefer a more competant presenter. Also, please limit your hate comments to one per video in the future. For future reference, I think that you meant to say, "You are incompetent". Your insertion of "an" suggests that perhaps you are not a native speaker.
Comments are a bit rough.....

You are an incompetent, on this type of measurement!
