Hi Matra. Thanks so much for your video on the forks. Just replaced the oil and your video was the best out there on how to do this. Thanks so much for posting. I love your practical approach to putting in seals and other cool hacks so no special tools required. Looks like you are really enjoying your rebuilt bike. Inspiring. All the best, Rob. (Victoria, Canada)
Hi Rob, Glad the video was easy to follow and your bike has forks like new now :D Hope they will do well :) Indeed I love my bike. The fact it was risen from the dead with my own hands makes the riding even more enjoyable :D Ride safe! :)
Great Vid, many thanks, I rebuilt my forks and they work perfect now with no leaks, thanks to your help. Looking forward to more great Vids from you guys.
Well done! It is nice to hear that video was helpful :) We are going to upload one more video about solving gearbox/clutch problem and then we are going for 3 weeks trip to Montenegro :D After this trip there will be more rebuilding videos and maybe some vlogs :D
You have a nice channel but...... I recommend using original oils for lag - they are definitely of better quality than substitutes, although Bel Ray is a good product. To install the oil seal, I recommend using, for example, a JMP tool, then we can be sure that the seal will settle properly and will not be damaged. Of course, the home methods presented in the material can also be used, but the effect can be different. Cool materials you shoot - BRAVO :)
Hi Dawid&Marta's Moto Adventure, thanks a lot for the video. where I can download the service manual? I'm tring to put my dr350se new again.. ;) big hug from Portugal
Hi! I hope you already found this manual :) Service manual is available at thisoldtractor page, just type in google "thisoldtractor dr350 service manual". In first result you can download PDF. Cheers!
Hola Marta ! Gracias por el video. Hice lo mismo que tú pero cuando realizó la acción del min 1:55 no puedo sacarlo, está muy duro. Intenté varias veces & no sale. Que debo hacer ?
Hi Hope you are well I have just purchased a 91 dr350 kickstart only No battery, indicators or horn on this bike. I have fitted a bulb horn Need help with finding which model this is S or se model or is it Enduro model. Help 😭 regards Roy Keep making the video's 👍
she says you need total just over 1L but the way to measure the amount is to make sure the oil level is exactly 145 mm from the top with the spring out and the tube fully compressed.
The biggest problem was only with pressing in the top bushing and oil seal. Rebuilding second leg with additional oil to lube bushing and oil seal was a lot easier. No need to use punch tool. This was 2nd fork service in our lives. Before that we changed oil in TDR125 only :) Have nice day!
From what I have found working on my own stuff and learning as I go. What makes any maintenance job difficult especially first time doing them, is not having the correct tools for the job and or not knowing the correct process to the jobs. Knowing little tricks also helps tackle some jobs.
@@DawidMartasMotoAdventures FYI on dealing with DIY bearings (you probably already know this, I am just letting anyone who might not know this little trick), bearings, bushings, seals, etc. Always use a material that is either the exact same or even better a softer material. for example it was the best thing to use the old bushing as the end of the homemade slide hammer to beat the new bushing in place. But for the rubber seal, instead of the metal screw driver end, find a rubber scrapper or a grommet removal tool, that they use in automotive applications. and use it as the "punch" for those tighter spaces, that way you will get minimal damage to the new seal itself. also for any bearings or bushings that's not brass but a harder material like aluminum or steel, use a brass punch and a brass hammer. The reason is so that whatever you are using as the "punch" is what takes the damage and not what you are punching. The only job of the "punch" is as its name suggests "punches" objects in place, so its fine if it gets damaged instead of the new bearing, bushing, or seal.
I swear to god I love this woman for what she does😘

Great video, and great tips. I was wondering which tools to use for the bushing.
Many thanks! You have saved me much time..
Thanks :)
Without special tool for the bushing it is a little harder, but as you can see it is possible (after couple of tries :D).
You do great work! Keep up the great videos!
A piece of pvc pipe the correct diameter works great as a slide punch also for setting the seals in.
Smart idea. I'll remember it.
