I did my first dumpster dive last friday and a lady that I have just meet. First thing I found was a bag of Valentine's day cards. Then the next dumpster had some vegs. While I was going dumpster diving I was thinking of you, miss beth, and miss tara. I'm glad that your feeling better. I hope that miss beth gets some sleep.
( johns wife ann ) had to totally share with you , havent been dumpster diving in years . my hubby and i we're driving behind bed bath and beyond to the mall . just happen to glance at the dumpster and noticed a bag of bedding in the top of the dumpster ( told my hubby to pull up to the dumpster ) grabbed it . and after i got back in the car noticed it was king size sherpa ugg blanket with pillow shams . omgosh . they had one of the tags on it that said customer said it had a rip , and it did , however its a small tear and for a 250 dollar blanket i can certainly take the time to fix that lol . was so happy that i was done even looking further into the dumpster lol . ya'all have inspired me to look into dumpster diving again , and finding the ugg blanket helped that along too lol.

Shannon,...you mentioned the cost of living....for someone on a budget, it is hard to go by when some items (even the basic such as milk goes up). When an item you by goes up, the list shrinks and one would eat less. At this rate, it feels like going back to kraft dinner. Yet, kraft dinner does go up you. So, it would mean plain pasta if possible. I figure the only way to maybe make it from one grocery shopping to another is to buy some bulk items (I.e. pasta) or have some baked goods done and freeze them (I.e. bread)

If you have essential oil that can be taken internally- lemon, lavender, and peppermint several drops each into shot glass mix and shot it. Helps with congestion.
