I'm not a Greg Tech player, but one of the types fit me perfectly, the Chemist. I always try to change the recipes of the game to be as realistic as possible, making it take 50 steps to make something lol For example, in AE2 you can create processors too easily, so I thought: "That's too easy, how is that made in real life?" Then I added silicon wafers, p-silicon, n-silicon, photoresistor, transistors, diodes, resistors, and you would need to make real circuit masks in order to craft the specific processor. For example, the calculation processor from AE2, you would need to make an Arithmatic Logic Unit mask, put that mask in a UV light, and below the circuit would be transfered to the silicon wafer, then you wash the photoresistor away, make the silicon below P, or N, and then you would need to put that in a furnace in order to create an oxidizing layer, then you would package it and congrats you now have made just a fucking processor out of several that you will need in order to make a fucking AE2 system :D though I never finished this crafting system, unfortunately, I'll try making it again one day update: holy shit supersymmetry is basically everything I was pursuing... omg omg omg

Pretty much the same although I've survived Stone Age holed up underground then around the LV I've isolated a few chunks with cobblestone walls. Then around the end of LV I remodelled them to be 11 blocks high and to encompass a grid of 5x5 chunks right next to the ocean. I was completely blind to stuff such as bending machine, different oil types, PBF and coke oven. With the born of GGI, I was exposed with this new gregtech community edition unofficial. I deleted my GTCE instance and switched to GTCEu. So far, I am really enjoying this version. That is the only greg I played though(aside from SuSY event which went really badly, we rushed LV, got 5 machines and got bored on day 12 since the server would shut down). Also, I refuse to batch craft stuff. I always calculate the amount of rods, plates, gears, circuits, wires, cables and other stuff needed before starting to make any of it. I really didn't need to create any Python or C++ programms for gregtech as the most complicated things I had to solve were how to get most benzene out of oil distill or which ore and processing system to use to get max chrome and gallium from it.
Veteran since alpha days with just server modding trough hMod, even coded the odd plugin back then myself. Some are even used to this day, modernized by others, on good old MCO.

I suppose I’m closest to newbie but not exactly. I’m 4K hours into my first run of GTNH and I’m in early IV. My base is really poorly organized and honestly really jank since I don’t have AE set up and I’m running on un centralized benzene I’m not building platline until I get my shit together and rebuild my entire base from scratch with AE and central power gen.
HAAH I might be a partial statist, I actually know my way around a factory, but I constantly try to model my ‘team ‘ after the Soviet Union, the one problem is that I play mostly single player, and haven’t really gone on any gregtech servers, so I’m kinda just feeling out the community to see how I feel about the servers, they actually sound quite vibrant compared to vanilla servers
How am I almost all of these? I am like a mix of the chemist, the beginner, and the veteran? Somehow? like all my bases in gt related mods is the messiest machine amalgamation one will lay their eyes upon, but for some reason I never lose track of what machine does what or where I need to go for chemical processes. I modified my gt version because it was unrealistic but ONLY because I couldn't memorize the chemical recipes because, as a lover of chemistry since the age of 5, I can't seem to get a hold of the recipes unless they're perfectly specific towards real life. I've also been playing gregtech since 1.12.2 (and modded minecraft as a whole) and I still find time to do a little trolling on the nomifactory gtceu servers.
Well I got traumatized by create and got in gtnh, I love create as mode to build funny stuff in creative or survival but it mostly like a esthetics and decoration then tech mod
How come barely any one is the architect? I’m so obsessed with automation that I spent an entire day build a steel farm at LV because someone let me use their deep mob learning stuff.
Mix between the veteran and the redditor (even tho I'm not on reddit). Played a lot of modded minecraft, I've beaten a lot of expert modpacks etc. but never really got into gregtech (started recently with nomifactory tho), and I somehow talk a lot about it, making memes etc. while I'm actually not fully aware of what's yet to come haha
im the greg enthusiast. i play 6 a lot, and i enjoy it more than 5 or CE for the most part. too bad there aren't any packs for 6 as well developed as NH. sad!
I guess I’m a mix of the beginner and veteran? I had a lawn base up until recently as I finally get in to HV in Nomi (i let my machines drink plenty of yummy rainwater, they like it), I just have a few chests and satchels holding all my belongings, and the only things I have passive are DME for power generation and PVC/PE plastics. Those aren’t even passive anyways I’m still manually adding sulfur and salt… Yet, I’ve been playing minecraft, both vanilla and modded, since the beta days, deleting META-INF, thinking quarries were the single coolest thing in the world, not having a decent computer so I’d be playing on tiny render distance… ah, good times.
Never commented on your videos before and honestly didn't expect to get called out by this video but the catgirl gregtech player type was way too accurate. Anyways thanks for your video's on gregtech I find them very interesting. I'm a gtnh player btw my gf and I are setting up for mv atm.
video aside, the elitism in gregtech community is a big issue, the amount of hate that kharax gets for playing the pack the way he wants to play it is insane. ideal play isn’t ever required.
Kharax is better than 95% of gregtech players anyway. I doubt most of his viewers have even progressed to half of where he is in his current playthrough.
I like gregtech videos but I've never played with gregtech because Im too stupid for all of this and I have no time but I just like to watch this type of content please keep it up
as a russian engineer, i can confirm that all you said about engineer type is true. minor correction though: most russian gt players likely start with the famous "Ideal Industrial Assembly" aka ideal industrial modpack (gt5) also props to tolyabi for music choice lol
Oh, good observation. I've played ИИС, and even if i'd heard about gt before, it was first time i really played it. And yes, weird optimizatoin is true) wooden pipes for water even in hv, hoppers instead of conveyors, blobs out of lv machines to do its jobs, clusters of machines right on the powerlines and my most favorite - single steam compressor that somehow working at its max in the chain from pyrolize oven to large boiler to increase effitiency by 10%. It was just hillarious how this thing made one of the first successfully struggled throgh hv
Optimizer here. Don't you dare use half a stack worth of anything in a nonefficient way. Once more efficient recipes are detected they have to be done as fast as possible. Automation comes second because that also costs more ressources to setup. I was just calculating the other day in a spreadsheet which setup to use for advanced aluminum production. Haven't finished that in hour in which i could probly have instead crafted thousands manually...
I think I might just be the optimizer It's pretty simple really, convert everything into objects/min and then just add up until all the numbers are round up
In 3 years I will become the engineer once I get my ChemE degree lol, I literally procrastinate studying and hw by playing gtnh. But I'm a veteran already, I've deleted Meta-Inf many times to install too many items
I'm a beginner oh god help I got jumped for the 2 dozenth time by zombie piglins in the nether and I'm only just now starting to try and make my base make sense.
I'm just starting GT new horizons because I wanted to have something where it goes through each and step of a process, I am starting to regret that decision, but I've started, can't stop now lol
I haven't played Gregtech since 1.4.7 (FTB Ultimate I think?) But god I remember the days before that lol I've got introduced back to the whole thing recently by a friend with GTceu Modern Still going through all the tiers for the first time in 1.20.1 and afterwards I may go to the one true modded version (1.7.10) and spend the next years in GTNH "Hey you should get MultiMC, it makes it so you don't have to inject your mods into the jar file and so you don't have to remove the META-INF entry" "Before 1.4.7, upgrading solar panels didn't take iridium, just eight solar panels from the lower tier and making UU-matter was easier" "God, you'd batch craft glass fibers and run them all over your base, now you turn an ingot into two puny wires it's better to just run potin pipes everywhere instead until you get some good ore processing and high enough voltage" "What do you mean we don't need to crush dozens of thousands of netherrack for Chromium and we don't need two walls of centrifuges to keep your fusion reactor going now???" "Spending two hours crafting the GravichestPlate to then notice you doubled everything instead of quadrupling it... Those were the days" Anyways, one of the best popular tech mod ever that I wish I didn't miss during my 1.7.10 playtime. I nearly got into chromaticraft and magneticraft, but at the time it had some major conflicts with some other mods and would drop the framerate all the way down so I missed that one too when I was cobbling my own modpacks together (I still have mods that has their hosting websites taken down like Advanced Genetics for 1.7.10 lol)
I’m definitely Russian Engineer (Hi from Ural, btw). I also a big fan of GT and AE, when you can build a massive autocrafting mechanism and just keep on expanding it. The feeling when you managed to add 1526th recipe and now you can craft thermonuclear reactor in a single click is awesome

I've also been playing gregtech since 1.12.2 (and modded minecraft as a whole) and I still find time to do a little trolling on the nomifactory gtceu servers.
Where is the "traumatized by GregTech and went back to playing with Create instead" category
Those aren’t even passive anyways I’m still manually adding sulfur and salt…
Yet, I’ve been playing minecraft, both vanilla and modded, since the beta days, deleting META-INF, thinking quarries were the single coolest thing in the world, not having a decent computer so I’d be playing on tiny render distance… ah, good times.
i work writing systems and build factories to relax
didn't even start to play gregtech, found out i'm a statist :o
I'm going into statistics too!! Good subject.
Survivalist here
Terrafirmagreg 4 life
I'm the catgirl except I like to actively play gregtech
I wonder if there is any overlap in GregTech players and retro Monster Hunter players
Never commented on your videos before and honestly didn't expect to get called out by this video but the catgirl gregtech player type was way too accurate. Anyways thanks for your video's on gregtech I find them very interesting. I'm a gtnh player btw my gf and I are setting up for mv atm.
Your girlfriend? I did not think that was possible. Maybe if you live on twitter yes.
Trust me I'm as surprised as you to have found someone crazy enough I mean awesome enough to even play GTNH with me lol@@Regian
i am built different at greg
video aside, the elitism in gregtech community is a big issue, the amount of hate that kharax gets for playing the pack the way he wants to play it is insane. ideal play isn’t ever required.
realtalk, whats the problem with Kharax / what hate? I watch him semi-regularly but never had the feeling that people dislike him
Kharax is better than 95% of gregtech players anyway. I doubt most of his viewers have even progressed to half of where he is in his current playthrough.
beginner because i got all the way to a microverse miner on omni with zero automation, dml, or ae2 because it was too confusing to set up 💀
I like gregtech videos but I've never played with gregtech because Im too stupid for all of this and I have no time but I just like to watch this type of content please keep it up
I'm a chemist and a beginner gregtech player, so yeah i yearn realism so yes, i will custumize gregtech with kubejs
as a russian engineer, i can confirm that all you said about engineer type is true.
minor correction though: most russian gt players likely start with the famous "Ideal Industrial Assembly" aka ideal industrial modpack (gt5)
also props to tolyabi for music choice lol
Oh, good observation. I've played ИИС, and even if i'd heard about gt before, it was first time i really played it. And yes, weird optimizatoin is true) wooden pipes for water even in hv, hoppers instead of conveyors, blobs out of lv machines to do its jobs, clusters of machines right on the powerlines and my most favorite - single steam compressor that somehow working at its max in the chain from pyrolize oven to large boiler to increase effitiency by 10%. It was just hillarious how this thing made one of the first successfully struggled throgh hv
And like, video even got right guess about overheated laptop!
Cross between beginner and veteran. Been playing on and off since 1.2.5
Optimizer here.
I desperately want to play one of the mods where someone implemented accounting for fugacity
(chemical engineer in real life)
As a catgirl i can confirm i never leave my house
I think I might just be the optimizer
It's pretty simple really, convert everything into objects/min and then just add up until all the numbers are round up
Im the yolo, the girl who tries her best yet still cant figure anything out
@@Yagdra_nihlahorn You are a statistical anomaly.
Me, a real life chemist, hearing about the chemistry Greg for the first time 0_o
survivalist, beginner, catgirl
In 3 years I will become the engineer once I get my ChemE degree lol, I literally procrastinate studying and hw by playing gtnh. But I'm a veteran already, I've deleted Meta-Inf many times to install too many items
I'm a beginner oh god help I got jumped for the 2 dozenth time by zombie piglins in the nether and I'm only just now starting to try and make my base make sense.
As a statist i can confidently say that your team is full of the soviet union.
I've started playing gregtech last week, I started with GTCEu, I just reached LV. My base is a mess
i once played with gregtech6 in flat world(desert) its how challenge there huh
I am the begginer, but I have to say that my base is really organised
I'm a survivalist 🦍
this video gonna go crazy
i'm slightly above beginner my base isn't optimized at all but at least i keep my stuff orderd neatly
nice
I'm just starting GT new horizons because I wanted to have something where it goes through each and step of a process, I am starting to regret that decision, but I've started, can't stop now lol
maybe another type: dilettante
I haven't played Gregtech since 1.4.7 (FTB Ultimate I think?) But god I remember the days before that lol
I've got introduced back to the whole thing recently by a friend with GTceu Modern
Still going through all the tiers for the first time in 1.20.1 and afterwards I may go to the one true modded version (1.7.10) and spend the next years in GTNH
"Hey you should get MultiMC, it makes it so you don't have to inject your mods into the jar file and so you don't have to remove the META-INF entry"
"Before 1.4.7, upgrading solar panels didn't take iridium, just eight solar panels from the lower tier and making UU-matter was easier"
"God, you'd batch craft glass fibers and run them all over your base, now you turn an ingot into two puny wires it's better to just run potin pipes everywhere instead until you get some good ore processing and high enough voltage"
"What do you mean we don't need to crush dozens of thousands of netherrack for Chromium and we don't need two walls of centrifuges to keep your fusion reactor going now???"
"Spending two hours crafting the GravichestPlate to then notice you doubled everything instead of quadrupling it... Those were the days"
Anyways, one of the best popular tech mod ever that I wish I didn't miss during my 1.7.10 playtime.
3:07 which pack is this?
true gregtech russian engineers are starting to play with iis instead of gtnh
What is the modpack that has that giant materials list in the chemist section?
somewhere between beginner and catgirl tbh
I’m slowly getting out of the beginning
beginner here. I suck at gregtech but i am trying to improve
ahh i remember so hard goto in mod file to change THEIR FKING ID CONFLICT
I’m definitely Russian Engineer (Hi from Ural, btw). I also a big fan of GT and AE, when you can build a massive autocrafting mechanism and just keep on expanding it.
The feeling when you managed to add 1526th recipe and now you can craft thermonuclear reactor in a single click is awesome
