@@outis439-A the song has a lot of drama and the cinematography is pretty dramatic due to light mostly. there is very little to no movement, it fits perfectly the song. half of the time there are these very beautiful girls standing still like if they were waiting for something -- for the wolf. you got to love people that shoot girls on film like that instead of making them move like stupid britney spears. then there are all these scenes where all the guys in the band are pretending to be serious and bad. then of course there is danzig posing like if he was a wolf -- or the wolf. and most of the time he is not even singing, he is just doing these absolutely ridiculous posing scenes. but you know what? i think he loved doping that. i think he is fulfilling his vision of himself here. he thinks he is the wolf. maybe he is. ask the women he's been with, maybe they can tell ya. think about it for a second. danzig wrote and recorded a song saying i am the wolf. now he does a video portraying exactly that. it may seem completely nonsensical for our regular day lives and yet it is brilliant. that is what rockers are supposed to do, isn't it? and of course it is always briliant to see people doing what they believe in. and let me not forget about THAT scene that lasts one second where danzig is wiith the four on the floor like if he was actually a fucking wolf.
Danzig can never be a normal in his music videos. When he’s performing his band he does good. But by himself he is either stiff, or bounces around like a maniac.
My friends went to see him in Flint Michigan at the Capitol Theater early 90's one friend still has some flyers that were hanging up and my other friend tried to rip Danzig cross off his neck and Danzig give him a Boot in the face 😂
It's more bluesy metal. This song, in particular is really bluesy and not hard and brutal like some of Danzig's other songs. Country music is really an offshoot of the Blues so they can be very similar in some ways. If you're into it, you could check out Mississippi Delta Blues, which I think inspired Danzig's singing style (and definitely John Christ's guitar work on this album). Blues developed in the rural South after the Civil War around, like 1865 and was originated by Southern black men. Country music was sometimes called 'White Mans Blues". In the 1940s and 1950s, Blues musicians like Robert Johnson, Ma Rainey, Son House, Muddy Waters and "Howlin' Wolf" became legends, and then they inspired the development of Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll. Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and then Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, the Rolling Stones all those rock guitar heroes and bands were inspired by the blues. So Glenn Danzig founded the horror punk band the Misfits early (1977-1983) and eventually came up with this Bluesy, dark metal style. Sorry I wrote a book, sometimes I get carried away talking about music, lol!
