In a bo1 case, can this deck finish fast enough to avoid DGL? Still looking at the fire version with chi-yu, gravity stone and having rad zard as a clocker. Tho the toed is a very good counter into drago, it feels tight on the slots for the deck.
Definitely much tougher. When I play the deck in bo1 locals I feel fine but I understand that the pace of play that I play at is way above the norm. It feels so bad to make the deck "worse" to make it win faster
Amazing guide, thanks! I'm new to pidgeot control and this is a huge help. I'm currently struggling to figure out when the best time is to actually go aggro with BM and try for prizes, any advice?
Usually you want to use it when either: A) You are sure it won't get OHKOd and you can loop it with Penny or B) There is a certain thing you need to kill to force enough resources out of the opponent to create your win condition
I don't like how almost ALL Pidgeot Control are just Charizard with Pidgeot. I honestly never loved Charizard and it made me sad because I love Pidgeot
Like Liam said beating Drago is a massive point of emphasis if you are trying to win a major event since so many top players on the deck right now. If you didn't need to beat drago to do well in whatever tournament you were going to you could take it out
Lines like Rad Ninja/ Kyurem on a Pidgey early can be super resource intensive and we can relatively easily recover with the Thorton play. So basically playing a one card tech for Gardy seems mid
In the current pool of cards revealed for rotation it's just gonna die without Rotom V. Cleffa just isn't enough. Personally the only way I see it played moving forward is with Budew and Colress/Grand tree to get pidgeot up as fast as possible without Rotom V
That makes a lot of sense
Nice deck, you should probably cut the secret box for dangerous laser though
Real
Pikachu ex players hate this one simple trick!
Thank you both, this was the exact video I needed!
I made a Pidgeot control deck but right now like 75% of my meta is iron thorns 😂
Put in 3 mimikyu

toadscruel is so insane
Do you think Snorlax or Pidgeot is better rn?
Both are very good right now but I'll always say Pidgeot (biased)

What
@Alloutblitzle
Whenever I se pideot control it's usually always with Charizard. It's nice to see a pidgeot control that doesn't have Charizard
the deck is great but i don't like toedcruel but what is you thoughts

I’ve been playing the toed in my pidgeot list for a while and I quite like it, been trying to make legacy energy work tho
Any tips on pult thorns mu?
Cry 😢
@@Alloutblitzle what about quad thorns
Easy mimi wall
James, how come no Manaphy? Scream Tail, Rad Greninja, etc

Can this deck be used post 2025 rotation?
Will largely depend on the meta and what tools are available for pidgeot.
In the current pool of cards revealed for rotation it's just gonna die without Rotom V. Cleffa just isn't enough. Personally the only way I see it played moving forward is with Budew and Colress/Grand tree to get pidgeot up as fast as possible without Rotom V
Thanks for the vid AOB and Liam. Love the insight. Also, whats Liams Live handle and how high is he so far?
Yoo, nice video idea :D

Why do people play control? A genuine question.
The deck is broken
Control/stall is fun if you're not who's playing against it lol
Amazing conversion into day 2
All of the above
You have the MOST agency in card games when u play control. One can argue that agency in these games is correlative to fun.
