‘Gun Nuts’: Democrat Senator Admits to Keying Car with ‘Biden Sucks’ Sticker

- Rhode Island state senator Joshua Miller was arrested after he admitted to keying a man’s car that had a “Biden sucks” bumper sticker. Body camera video shows him originally denying the crime at the crime scene, but after police told him the entire thing was caught on camera, he fessed up to it. “I think he’s one of the gun nuts,” Miller told Cranston police. “He was daring me to, basically.” The senator was charged with a vandalism charge. The victim’s son said he heard a scratching sound when Miller walked by the family’s car.

when i was a kid, i was a gun nut. started with bb guns, then i was allowed a 22 rifle. the routine was go to a store every saturday and buy a box of 22 long rifles for about $1, then head to the creek. my interest evaporated around 18 when i became a motorcycle nut. now i have 5 or 6 bikes in the garage i haven't ridden since the 70's, but i don't even have a gun. a friend bought my 22 when i was still in high school. i haven't even thought about it. but, i don't care if people do own guns, if you enjoy something as much as i used to, why should anything deprive your pursuit of happiness?

The cop asks the "criminal" how he would like the cop to pursue this case and then proffers possible excuses. An everyday occurrence.
Damages someone's car because their political views are different than his. - Discrimination.
Lies to law enforcement with the intent it be relied on by the officer. - Obstructing an officer.
Not to mention he holds public office and retaliated for this mans free speech and tried to use his position of power as an excuse play the victim and justify it. - Violation of oath and Office.
The fact he wasn't handcuffed and booked in the parking lot with an eye witness positively identifying him is the first thing that would have never happened to anyone of us normal citizens. Then the kind and respectful visit at his home, being allowed to get shoes and secure bail money, allowed to refuse handcuffs or detainment once he's placed under arrest for admitting the crime and finally he was allowed to drive himself to the station. Not one of these are things that would ever be allowed to happen to any of the people he is supposed to be representing! If regular citizens were treated with this much respect and given this amount of kindness, maybe officers would get a bit more respect. But nope, they are a different class with a different set of laws and rules and this is a prime example. If anything he should have been held to a higher standard and should be punished as such in order to remove the entitlement and contempt he has for the "lower" class.

I’m 62 and vote in every election and stay up to date on the legislative process. And I bet I can’t recognize 2 politicians out in public. Most of their political pictures are doctored and made to look flawless.

No other "suspect" accused of a crime would be allowed to drive themselves to the police station to be charged. Its disgusting that these officers are essentially condoning his crime. He shouldn't get preferential treatment because he's a state senator.
It was the best way to handle it though, they played good cop and got him talk super easily that way.
