OK so 5 stars plus!! This book was fabulous. I found the ending very satisfying. Sager wrote a masterpiece I believe. As a writer myself I think he ticked all the marks of a great novel. I've only read 2 other Riley Sager books but this makes me want to read them all even though I hear there are horror elements which I don't like. Great video!! Well done Heather!!
Oh my gosh, panic attack! No you are not alone, maybe just not a purple shampoo moment! Yes! I have been waiting for your review of this book! So many people just did not like the pacing and called the book boring. I really liked having all the character's secrets revealed slowly, especially Ethan's. When the camera kept picking up something..... I was scared! I also gave it a five star. I vote for Ruth Ware, but I will enjoy any read along you share! Thanks for sharing!
Just finished this book I loved it! I was all for the ghostly elements I love a good spook to my thriller 😅 I loved the way it was wrapped up. I love hearing your theories your theory was a good one! My vote is remarkable bright creatures I have it on my TBR and need to read it soon
I so appreciate all the work it must take to do these videos. I'd love a read-along for Turn of the Key--haven't read it but it's on my shelf. Started reading Middle of the Night yesterday and can't put it down! About 1/2 way now. I am an older/retired gal so no childcare or job to distract me from my obsessive reading LOL YES! I agree with the types of thrillers you like. It's why I prefer psychological domestic suspense. Those unrealistic endings bug me. It's why Daisy Darker annoyed me at the end.
I'm at the halfway point and thinking, because of Billy's interest and belief in ghosts, he either is a ghost or followed a ghost. I also suspected Russ because he was a third wheel to Ethan and Billy and he had the cammo and orange tent in his sporting goods store, I can definitely see the possibility of Ethan hallucinating the whole thing. I really hope that isn't what it turns out to be. It would be that frowned apart trope in fiction of "it was alla dream." Knowing Riley Sager this could go anywhere!
@@renee1292 ahhhh I’m so excited for you to finish! These are such great thoughts!! Sager is just so great at really making you wonder where he is going to go… 🤔
Yes to the reading vlog!
