Super helpful.. “Realize you’re on a shapes driven instrument.. but Be a musician”. I absolutely Love that❤. I’ve struggled with playing with my ear.. getting caught up in shape familiarity. Thanks for the lesson!

Speaking of Rev. Gary Davis, you should check out his “I’m Throwing Up My Hands”. It’s one of my favorite blues songs in the A shape.

GREAT Fuller Learning VIDEO You keep getting better as a teacher and a guitar player Here is a later Idea for a video you can do if you have not already .. a lesson on how the capo changes keys in standard as well as open tunings .. might be cool ....Stay well brother ....

Ah thanks Tommy! Dude I dig that idea. I've been trying to think up a good way to share capo knowledge. One of my students was like, "there must be a way to "gamify" it to help learn this stuff". So...I'm working on it haha.

Dude that's big! And I've been there. I'm glad to help shed some light. Sometimes fingerings can be pretty loose with folk music, but I find these ones really open the door to playing BBF's stuff.
