I just started collecting , and I just buy the ones I like for my granddaughter and myself. I refuse to get caught up in that craziness. It's supposed to be fun not stressful. If I find a th or sth I'll buy it, if not oh well.
Great video! I agree completely BUT Mattel is corporation and its always about the bottom line and since there is demand i don't see anything changing. I absolutely agree it is ridiculous but until they must I don't see it changing. I am not a SUPER buyer at the ridiculous prices and most drop in prices, at least ones I will want, over time but it is those maniacs that think they can make a quick buck they make these things bad. How to fix that? It will take a collab between Mattel and their vendors to fix that! I buy mostly on Whatnot now and I meet hundreds and hundreds of people that great people and sellers. You have those that gotta have those Supers no matter the cost and how they get it but cannot get away from it no matter where you go.

I don't/won't go to The Legends Tours due to this. No $1.19 car is worth the risk of someone being so immature as to resort to violence or the childish behavior of crushing the package because they're pouting they didn't get the STH! I collect and am trying to get my grandkids involved (3 of 5 do also). Most of the diecast community is respectful and friendly, but there's always the few that have to ruin it.
I agree and could not have said it better. It is super important to get the started young and down the correct path. And even more important to share the time and memories with them. The store aspect is the bad part of the show. I honestly would encourage you to take them to at least one show if you can and just stay away from the store aspect of it. I think in Miami they atleast had a kids only dump bin. It was a madhouse in there. I didn't waste my time with that bull. In & out with my $25 worth for the Zamac. My best grabs of the day were the 4 blue Matchbox Chevy C10s on the endcap right next to the dump bin.👊❤
I didn't see them making a joke out of it. They made a positive statement that thank God there weren't any fights and they had a clean showing. Maybe you cut the video short where they did make a joke? I don't think this should fall on Mattel's shoulders. They have created a great product that gets shipped to the stores and that is where it ends for them. It's up to the managers of these stores to curb any wrongdoing. Also, Mattel isn't the only company that has "chase" cars. That said, I enjoy your vids 👍👍
Everyone has different outlooks and opinions. Which is great. But I will have to point out they def thought it was funny. Or why the need for the laughter when they said it? Secondly, Mattel can ABSOLUTELY do something about it. It is their product, their event and , even part of their event. No other time do they have these multiple drop bins with all those cars
Tell 20 people something, wait 5 minutes, ask them what you said and get 18 different answers. LOL......For me, I have seen plenty and not just this instance but rather the totality of many things. But if you do not see it, that is completely fine. As for the store issue. The fighting and craziness that goes on with the dump bins (in the video) is solely done at the Legends event. That is the only time the dump bins, and the cars are done that way. As mentioned by someone else, it is their product, their event and their name attached to everything. Shoot if it’s a high dollar car I’ll wait till the price drops off before I buy them unless it’s a certain one I feel like I gotta have like the L case trans am I just gotta have that one but I will wait to c if I can find one first.
