People, please stop all of this nonsense about "who brought you here" and all that. It doesn't matter WHAT brought you here, just as long as you're enjoying the music. We live in the age of technology, some people learn about music on their own, others learn it from games, TV, friends, movies, etc. It just HAPPENS THAT WAY, get over it. It doesn't matter does it? I mean, saying "I knew about ceremony before this game was even out" is basically you saying "I've known about this music longer, so I am more of a fan" That's not true, nor is it the spirit of music. The sooner people learn this, the better the world will be.
Sometimes there are cool things to find... It's like the "what other people bought that purchased this item" section of an online shop. It's kinda annoying reading the same shit again and again tho.. So why not read a few comments first and if you see "GTAV" all over the place, you might not want to add another one... So simple.
@@Green_Broccoli dude you know he knows right? This is pretty much a joke saying it kinda sounds like Australia or it would sound sound like the same beat with Australia
Like most I too got put on to this song by vinewood radio in gtaV back in 2019 which is crazy for I wouldn't end up listening to thier project Zoo till way later and I just found its been 10 years since they released "Zoo" which it was pretty decent
I don't understand why people would think this band has gone in the wrong direction. Ceremony rules. Punk is about what you have to say, and I'm confident Ross is going to have a lot to say on this album. My personal opinion of the music: this is fucking fresh and I like it. Inb4 anything.
Just been listening to these guys for half an hour and when I saw "hysteria" in the suggestions list, I thought of GTA V and sure enough its a song from that, I've been jamming to a song from this band for a while now and just realized it haha
I think it's good, and I've been a Ceremony fan for years. Sounds like 80's brit punk to me. These knuckledragger hardcore kids just can't hang with progression I guess.

Yea I guess you're right. It's a bit of a stretch to straight up label them as powerviolence, but you could hear a powerviolence influence on albums such as Violence Violence, no? "Cross Them Out" comes to mind. Maybe that's just me. Point being, you hear a lot of bands doing Infest (whether or not Ceremony was, is arguable, clearly) and I welcome the change of pace some bands are putting forward.
says the guy who has deadmau5 as his picture. Yes im sure you are the man we should listen to in order to determine good or bad music. And I was around 6 years ago, you know who else was around? Ceremony, they were making good music then, and their making good music now. If you don't like their stuff great that's your opinion, but don't go sayin shit like that here bro.
I like it, it sounds a bit like 80's brit with a little mix of some 90's sounds. Sorta feels like a more hardcore Greenday song (circa Dookie, their new shit is terrible.) Really digging it.
I think what people are getting at is it's such a stark change from all their previous work. I agree that Ceremony kept things fresh but it's understandable to see why people wouldn't like their latest album. I couldn't listen to an album of this.
Have any of you ever written music. Writing song from violence take skill and creativity which can only go so far. You've never actually listened to Powerviolence before, have you? The classic ones like Spazz, Man Is The Bastard, and Neanderthal may have their routes in punk but they are WAY too different than whats generally called "Punk Rock" to have that as their label if you ask me
How exactly is their early stuff powerviolence? Powerviolence is more Spazz, Infest, ACxDC, Crossed Out, etc. Their early stuff doesnt really sound at all like powerviolence
i'm glad they have this sound despite me liking their older stuff more. i'd rather listen to a great sounding band that doesn't give a fuck what i think in honesty
What does this blend with? I don't understand. Yeah, it's punk rock, but you can still distinguish Ross, he has a really unique voice. Compared to the scene Ceremony's in (hardcore/powerviolence), this is a completely new, unique sound that both punk and hardcore fans can listen to.
Ceremony was waaaay better when they were on bridge nine playing straight up violent hardcore punk with emotion though. Its like they want to be the Smith's now. Smh
i've heard the whole album, its different, yes.. but it's good. It's nothing like Violence Violence (which i love) but you can't expect the same thing. if you want Violence Violence or Still nothing moves you.. listen to those albums.
Ceremony makes what they like and I love that about them. On Rohnert Park they didn't even expect many kids to like it. I like this, but I'm into the Brit Rock sound.
i must beg to differ, my friend.though they played really fast , they are unique inthat they are the masters of building tension and atmosphere in there music. listen to the beginning of there record 'VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE', the atmosphere they create is brutal, violent, bleak, tense, and beautiful all at the same time, and that seperates them from many generic hXc/pXv bands. ive described it as a man sitting alone in a dimly lit basement, at the breaking point with a gun clenched between his teeth
Oh for sure. Wipers were fucking awesome and very influential in certain circles. And I REALLY dig both Red Dons and Neon Piss. But wouldn't you find it laughable if someone was like "Man, Neon Piss sound SO GENERIC and are trying to be popular by sounding like every other band" Really? I guess that's why they're on such a COMMERCIAL label like Deranged. I just wish people would find better words to describe what they're saying. "Generic" this is not... "not your cup of tea?" sure.
I think it's pretty good. They are just trying out new sounds and they seem to be heading for an old school hardcore sound. It's weird to hear the vocals so clearly and it's strange to think with this song this band named Violence Violence but it's not horrible at all.
I don't care what anyone says about maturing and progressing. Ceremony went from a unique band that you could recognize out of all the other shit, to a mediocre band that blends in beautifully with all the other shit. Sounds like everything else.
