Hey Tim, thanks for more VOB! Ok, a fair bit to talk about... Sitti gets to shine here, power, precision, enthusiasm. She plays barefoot (or in socks) because "she considers the drums as not just playing games, it's a part of her life, and must be treated with special care, she doesn't want an obstacle between her and the pedals." Penny Lane is a bar in Jakarta where they did remote performances during COVID. The entire video is about 55 min long and includes an excellent (and very revealing) interview. It's a seminal document of their existence and hopefully will be reposted by 12Wired (their previous management company), as it's not currently available. And, since they've gotten so much crap in their home country for doing covers, they've only performed a single cover live in the multiple shows they've played since returning from the US (and that was a metal version of an anthem for the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia (and perhaps the world)), and that was at the request of the event promoter.
@@bw1342 it didn't work out. I didn't get approved for their show in Washington, DC and when I got to the show to see it as a paying customer, their tour management had me on a "Do not admit" list, so I didn't even get to see the show. I'm hoping they come back this summer since they have new management.
@@ocsportsnut Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that, as that sounds very harsh! They are independent now, and have announced that for 2024 they will be staying in Indonesia, playing shows there and working on their second album.
Always good to see some V.O.B.! Siti's drums always sound soooooo good. She's gettin' pretty damn good too! Love her style. And yes, they are ALL total bad asses. Thanks Tim! 🕊
I know the Penny Lane you refer to, but even though I'm from the UK I have only been to one Penny Lane. And I saw Band-Maid there last October! I mean Penny Lane 24 in Sapporo Japan! VOB are awesome! Would love to see them live too!

12Wire re-released some VOB music on their RUclips channel about 2 weeks ago. I'm also hoping for the entire Penny Lane sessions!
