My favorite episode of the Steve Austin show other than the Hogan episode. You can say what you want about Heyman but his mind for the business is unmatched. If only ECW had gotten the prime time tv slot if it had the backing of a Ted Turner to give it the national distribution, it might have survived.
12:58 Austin asks heyman if he has ever worked with Antonio Cesaro… heyman casually replies “no, but I’d love to” … this was recorded 2 days before mania 30 where Cesaro won the battle royal and briefly became a heyman guy.
Speaking to Heyman justifying needing the talent to be assertive to get ahead, even on the indies, I didn't grow into a better spot until I started saying no to every little idea a promoter gave me. Its 100% true. If you do everything your asked, you may just stay where you are forever
1:19:10 Awesome interview. Heyman is Old School genius. But these Austin/Rick Rude stories have me rolling!😂😂😂 ..."madder than a hornet", screaming "RICK! RICK!" in his "WHAT?" voice🤣..Austin is a very good storyteller.
@@blayze2580 I'm sad to say I was always aware of his existence but never really got to enjoy his work directly. From the little I have seen though (and the impersonations 😆) he seemed ahead of his time.
Just found this.. no one wants to be the guy who’s say no and says im gonna leave and go do the indies & succeed and your going to have to pay for me to come back but then it’s going to be more money. Cody walked out not long after that. It’s a funny way how the world works
Right! It's funny because on the networks version of the Steve Austin podcast years ago when Austin interviewed Vince and Vince literally said he feels that current lack ambition

23.00 to 26.00 What Heyman said about Raven was such a beautiful moment & why i love pro wrestling.

Paul is always working XD
Heymans Austin and Foley impersonations are Gold.
😂
the fact that this episode of the podcast is a decade old now is so weird

Heyman's Steve Austin impersonation is hilarious!
I choked up at his Superstar Billy Graham impersonation at 51:37 😂😂

😂😂😂
"Im the guy who got stone cold to say smucky" paul heyman
Possibly his biggest accomplishment lol these guys are funny.
when will THE ROCK ever appear on his podcast!??
2022.. I'm still waiting for this to happen.... ASAP!!
The rock doesn't have anything to do with wrestling industry anymore. It's kind of sad but it's all about money.
When he retires from Hollywood and doesn't have a million and one things to do
Yeah exactly, I wonder where his and Oprah’s Maui wildfire scams are with them now
Paul is a lot more interesting than Howard Stern imho.
1:08:24 Rick Rude gives Steve a hard time for using the lord's name in vaine
heyman names hands down the best tv shows rapid fire
I love the Steve Austin show 🤘🏻🤘🏻
One of the best out there
To hear Stone Cold say that Shawn is his Favorite? As a long time favorite of the soap opera of Pro Wrestling?? That's true respect! Mind Blown..
Paul is a smart man. He helped make my childhood
I love Paul. He's the real deal.
The blind angle was originally the Junkyard Dog.
Is that Paul Heyman imitating Stone Cold? Lol
How about you guys? Who were your favorite wrestlers doing promos? Mine Dusty Rhodes Flair Hogan Austin Rock.
I had so many like the hardy brothers,Steve Austin,Rey Mysterio, randy Orton
Brett Hart, Macho Man and Stone Cold. No particular order and The Ultimate Warrior's entrance particularly against Rick Rude.
Best promo guys in the business in my opinion... Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts, Mick Foley, Steve Austin, The Rock

I wish he would interview ECW’s Paul Hayman. 😕
I think it might be time for the global icon and National Treasure to start talkin about world events, before he's not allowed to talk at all.
