the best planted tank channel on YT, without any doubt. no pretensions, no geek speak, no "you must..." it's so encouraging to see this kind of wonderful plant growth without CO2 and hi tech gadgetry... brilliant
imagine a moss-only scape, with super thin branches so the moss can’t get as large and just an entire background of flowing moss. could make it a high flow setup to help combat the detritus getting stuck in the moss
This man is so underrated on RUclips MD your a legend and thanks to you my tanks are just like yours clean simple but amazing keep up the brilliant work with your tanks
Great update. I think that rainbowfish scape idea with the multiple islands for them to swim through/around is a stellar idea. Not a very common scape, so I'm interested in how you will do that. When I build the motivation to rescape my 75 gallon I'll definitely use your deep substrate method. I think it just helps everything from the plants to the fish. Appreciate all that I learn from you, MD. Take care.
MD's attack on the Monster Moss was a long time coming. I knew you would not be able to resist doing the tank over. The Rainbows look amazing and I am sure they will thrive in the new setup. You have so many plants you won't need to buy any and the colors and shapes you have give you plenty to choose from. I'm looking forward to both builds as your Beta is stunning.
So many good tanks on the way. I know there are a lot of viewers who are wishing you'd leave your tanks up but I love the fact that you break them down after 6 months or so. It gives you tons of experience, content, and endless ideas for different setups. Can't wait to see... As always, cheers MD.
You are such a legend! I have learnt so much from you. I picked up 3 otocinclus today to put in one of my tanks, I wouldn't have known what they were if I didn't watch your vids....Clean up crew is a must in all tanks. Thankyou and keep them coming
Love that you gave the fidh more room. Yes the moss was beautiful..now you got lovely acclimatised moss to use in other tanks...what about a mossy hanging wall tank for your shrimp?
As always, another great video. As you surmised, the tipburn on your Spathiphyllum probably has a lot to do with the light, but it also wouldn’t be my first choice to grow in water like that. If Colocasias are available where you live, try them out. I think you’ll find they’re super easy, low maintenance plants that thrive in that kind of setup, plus they look really cool. I grow a variety called ‘Mojito’ that’s stunning. Look it up and you’ll see what I mean. Anyway, keep it up!
Was finna comment how good the electric blue acara tank looks, but after you showed a couple other tanks during the video, I thought damn all of your tanks look so cool, so many different elements in the tank for the fishes to enjoy. You're so good at it!
Do something different this time for the Beta Aquarium! I love your videos but me and maybe some followers would like to see some different setup, maybe a "desert" theme, reds, yellows, white or red sand, black or red rocks, i dont know! I just think it would look cool :D Once again, thank you for your videos i really find your voice and your videos relaxing :D Keep up with the good work.
make the new rainbow tank like your old river tank with the island in the middle so it can flow in a circle around the tank that old river island tank was my favorite
baby guppies stay at the surface for a few days/weeks when first born ... I provide floating plants for them to hide in ... eventually they will hide in the lower plants.
What I would like to see is someone copy exactly one of the tanks, but in a hard water area. That way we can see the difference between hard and soft water.
I found it nigh on impossible without a lot of intensive water changes, blending tap and rain water, testing heavily etc. Much easier just to lightly dose CO2!
Yo man, been a fan for a long time of how you set up your tanks. BUT, I would love to see you do one high tech tank with CO2 just to see how it goes using your same substrate system strategies, fertilizing, etc. Cheers!

man... i love your work, but i hate that you take down takes after a couple of months. the longer a tank is set up, the more stable it becomes. your water is so good, i would back off on the light a bit to reduce growth and therefore less trimming. you build beautiful tanks.
I appreciate where you are coming from. But it's been up for 5 months and if it was a display in a home....for sure it's something you would keep going. But my tanks are my studio remember. They are my canvas. When the painting is complete, you don't keep wiping away the paint and re-applying, you start another piece of your art. Hope you understand 😊

MD, it is true that the viewers come to see how to set up tanks and watch you create, but (I’m sure you have noticed) they also like to see updates on the progression of the tanks.
