This is the second of your livestreams I've watched, both after the fact. The first was your Taylor-focused program from about 10 months ago. Loved hearing all those models played in sequence. Also enjoyed today's livestream. Your playing is exquisite. Love your chord voicings! I had the privilege of playing a Goodall myself on a CD I made about 25 years ago in a friend's studio. I believe it was a dreadnaught, but I don't recall anything more than that. The logo looked very familiar, and I guessed the luthier before you announced it. Again, great show! Now I have a lot of back shows to catch up on.
One of the best side effects of looking at a brilliant display of 8k to 14k guitars while toggling away on my second hand 0,5k dreadnought is that a guitar of 3K seems very reasonable all of a sudden. Thanks man!!
Good morning great playing. Nice section of guitars. My question is I have high ratio 21:1 Waverly tuners, 18:1 grand tunes, which are the smoothest and Grover tuners. I always tune up in an every guitar that I own regardless of tuners in standard tuning. The G string is extremely tight to where I feel something is wrong with the tuner but it’s not. Also, my nut slot is fine and not tight or binding. Your thoughts on this.
Hmmm.. without seeing the guitar to evaluate it in person, it’s very hard to say. I’d recommend taking them to a reputable shop and have them fully looked over. I do know that if tuned to Standard A440 tuning, the G string has the highest lbs per square inch tension. That could be a contributing factor.
Great video. If you could only have 1 Touchstone OM for your playing style would you choose rosewood or mahogany version? I know both are great but just interested in your personal choice. Thanks
Ohhhh it’s so hard to pick only one! Lately I’ve really been connecting with the Ryan Guitars. And to be honest, you could probably put the top and back wood selection into a randomizer and I’d be pretty happy with what they would make!
o god-that bourgeois om is absolutely stunning. just perfect. every single guitar in this episode is killer.
Matt, that Goodall cutaway sounded so nice. Surprisingly clear with good definition. Wow
the mcnally D32 has a breathtaking voice .. . boy o boy .. .
On the ebony discussion at the end, I have a crelicam ebony fretboard with a bit of flame figure
I'll be at namm Thursday and Friday. Hope to see you guys there.

personally, I've been more drawn to the Mahogany Country Boy version. It really has an awesome sound!
Hi guys thanks for the vids. Matt if you had to pick one finger style guitar what would it be? All the best for 24 guys
