I actually thought Izzy looked great while it lasted. Stuffed the takedowns, striking was slick. Won r1. Maybe his chin is gone now though. I suppose I might be underrating Imavov, but I dont think he wins against DDP, Strickland or Chimaev.
You're such a big sports journalist with due respect and you didn't expect this from imavov? Like seriously look at his boxing skills man and training videos you'll see in future what he is capable of doing
Didnt see the fight but i certainly didnt see this result happening. I suppose ive underrated Imavov, although his next couple of fights will truly 100% tell us where he stands.
How much bigger is Adesanya than like a Leon Edwards or Kamaru Usman? Never considered him going to 170 but he’s weighed in at 183 before and when he tried going to 205 he maxed out at like 200, I think Usman weighs 200+ outside of camp just for reference. Just an interesting thought, I don’t see it happening. But 3 straight losses is tough.
The other day I said to you 2024 was the year of the next generations, and this year the OGs would fall out of the top 15! Where’s my flowers? Haha😂 Thanks for the updates dude, just giving you a hard time. Adesanya looked good!
By no means do I think Israel Adesanya is a bad fighter I just think that he’s been way over hyped and overrated his entire career. With losses in 3 out of 4 of his last fights plus age catching up shows that he really shouldn’t have ever been in contention as the GOAT of the weight class as a lot of his fights in his prime in my opinion were never really impressive or against the best competition that the weight class as a whole has ever offered. His best wins were over Robert Whittaker (which in all of their fights they had were extremely competitive and close) and Alex Pereira (who’s a bit over hyped himself as well as both fighters having some advantages against one another due to them facing off against each other so many times). I’m sorry but wins over an old should have been retired Anderson Silva, snozefest fight agaisnt Yoel Romero and guys in my opinion that have never really been great fighters and were only just good for their time like Marvin Vettori, Paolo Costa and Jared Cannonier don’t scream middleweight GOAT. You can’t have so many non impressive wins and still be held to the level and standard that people view Izzy. Adesanya is middleweight great and one of the best but definitely not the best ever. Maybe it’s not so much Izzy’s fault that the division in his prime was relatively weak but it is his fault for not being able to have better performances against fighters that won’t be in the conversation as top middleweights ever. It’s a very hot take but one I’ll always stand by.
@ I guess we’ll have to disagree James. I agree with you on about nearly every fight opinion but I just have never been on board with Izzy’s legacy like that. He’s great but I just can’t put him as the best. Maybe some it’s because some Izzy fans do overhype him but I just have never been impressed enough with what he’s done. I just feel like he could have been so much better in his prime for his skill set and size in that division. He’s had some bangers for sure but always feels like most of the time he underperformed for what he was capable of doing.
@@LynchOnSports I don’t know I feel like a lot of analysts claim Adesanya as the GOAT in middleweight I’m not saying that’s you but guys like Rogan, Bisping, Ariel and a bunch of other people in mainstream media are always saying him or Silva even though I don’t think it’s close. Yes Izzy beat Silva but that was Silva way out of his prime but honestly he shouldn’t have been fighting anymore post 2013 Silva really wasn’t the same fighter. Silva’s accolades speak for themselves and in my opinion I don’t agree with Adesanya being in the middleweight GOAT conversation as I believe the gap between Silva and Izzy is larger than what many would say that’s the only reason why I think he’s overrated. He’s definitely the 2nd best middleweight and a great fighter there’s no argument about that.

Nassorudin imamov alhamdulillah

@workintro - 1 win by KO/TKO in his last six fights prior to this like I explained in the video
Didnt see the fight but i certainly didnt see this result happening. I suppose ive underrated Imavov, although his next couple of fights will truly 100% tell us where he stands.
Imavov👀🔥🔥
That was sad to watch. Massive credit to imavov
Imovov chimiev for a chance at ddp Strickland winner I like that too
Adesanya looked fast and crisp on the feet too.
@@Isa_Haratayn for about 2 minutes then he looked slow like he did in the DDP fight. His reflexes are gone.
Will Izzy jump to the GFL?
Flukas gon have a field day with this one
was stopped a bit too early
I feel the same way. Mark Goddard is such a sus ref
Nah come on, Izzi's chin is gone. Too many wars and he doesn't need any extra punches.

Imavov deserves the shot WAY more than Chimaev. Way more ranked wins plus he beat a higher ranked opponent than Chimaev.
This was rough to watch, do you think he should retire?
One word. Wow.

He knocked out Pereira, defended his title multiple times. He's not overrated

@xShadowRaptor - Nobody is calling him the best, but he's also not overrated

@xShadowRaptor - Silva is the GOAT, but Izzy isn't too far behind. Who should be ahead of him?
Terrible stoppage + eye poke
