Thanks so much for the video on how to install the center stand work great what I did was lock the front wheel and I put the strap around the back tire that pulled it in close enough and I didn't have to hook it to my cubby or my car in front of the garage Great video keep up the good work Thanks again

Thanks for this video and explanation. I bought the original center stand for my v85 and it just comes without any useful information about the assembly. Just a note that it must be carried out by specialized staff following the instruction manual 2S001335 which I could not find. With you video it was done in 15 minutes. The way how you solved mounting the spring was useful and made that easy. Many thanks from Germany. Robert

One hint. For those of use with weak hands. The sleeves that go over the springs can be threaded on (once greased and started) with a couple sets of adjustable pliers.

Hi Cubbysue, it appears you are using the MG pannier side supports? I just picked up a base V85TT without these. In your opinion are they strong enough? Many pannier supports connect together with a bar in the rear. These appear to not have the bar? Thanks in advance for the info. Blaze on.

    • @cubbysue

Mine have 4 small m4 bolts that hold them to the bottom of the frame and two more m4 bolts that attach at the passenger foot pegs. They are strong enough to lift the bike to put it on the center stand. The upper box mount has 4 m4 bolts holding directly to the frame. They all feel very solid, I have no complaints regarding the way they mount.
