Car looks great. However; 1. Rear head room 2. Rearward visibility (IRVM) 3. Can M&M manage the servicing of these new age cars in their existing dealer workshops? 4. As it is there is a lot of stress on their capacity as one can see. 5. Will there be enough spares availability? 6. Knowledge transfer, Skills, Technical knowhow for proper service consultation at the centres.
Personally what i think is. Having 285 bhp rwd at 25lkh is enough to give it 10 out 10 rating rest in just a bonus. Specially in India where people don't even know the power of rwd cars. For 285bhp one hv to spend atleast 65lkh of ₹.
They need to put in a 6 cylinder in that frame. Atleast for the next 10 years, EVs won't be what they claim to be when it comes to money and environment
hi guys, this video is a lesson in knowing and backing your strengths. You have such an engaging presenter who does his job brilliantly, but then the editor decides that the bgm is so fire that THAT is what everyone should hear. Like cmon guys, do better.
I can already point out a problem that will become a headache very quickly and that is that the lead acid battery which powers the display screens, the windows and the alarm system is below the front trunk and will be a pain to replace.
Is India misallocating its resources by prioritizing EVs? The current push seems heavily influenced by the investments of giants like Tata and Mahindra in EV manufacturing. However, does this truly align with India's needs and infrastructure readiness? A more pragmatic approach could have been investing in hybrid technology, which offers a balanced transition. Competing head-to-head with pioneers like Toyota in this space might have been a more sustainable and strategic move for India's automotive future.
Any car with white interiors is automatically a NO for me, especially when you can't change seat leather in cars with 6 or more airbags (they void warranty and risk of airbags not deploying is higher). Mahindra really must be getting these white leather cheap since they even put it in a THAR.
Why does an EV need a Neutral? And why that awkward full size head rest in the middle seat? Blocks rear view all the time. It's not that Mahindra doesn't know about it - just look at the 6E's middle seat head rest. The two are extremes. Have got a feeling the back seat is lifted straight out of the xuv 700
Rear 3 quarters isn't the best view. Reminds me of the Pontiac Aztek. Not a comparison anybody would want. On other part - Lesson to Tata on how to do LED light bars.
2 reasons for not buying this car ..1st it is Mahindra and you can't rely on its mechanism and after sales service.... 2nd it is too costly at that price range....with only 600 kms range...this will not attract a logical middle class family...

It's an excellent first attempt. However the competition is really tough in the foreign market especially from Chinese EVs. The interior is a bit of a hit and miss with fit and finish not up to international standards. Pricing will be key. I don't see it selling a lot in India due to poor EV infrastructure.
We tried doing our best, given the limited time we got with the car, we assure to bring you an in-depth review when we get the cars for a longer period!
Hey Dipanshu, I understand your concern and trust me I was even more frustrated - we literally got to drive this car on one 3 lane highway for an hour (about 60kms). To give a full drive review with that much time wouldn’t do justice to the level of engineering gone under the hood. I do hope you understand mate, cheers ❤️
Poor design quality Design made by as some one just passing out from graphics degree bachelors ! European cars look so soothing to eyes Except outside body design all else is super great ! Such a nice car and tech loads but designers left no stone unturned to make it another chapri car after scorpio
Team powerdrift, the Background volume is so high that at some points im unable to clearly hear what the reviewer is saying. Do mellow it down a bit.

Ur question why 9E- they come from 500 to 700 to 900 & its electric so its 9 E
No his question was why have a "e" after the 9 when you're already calling it "XEV" instead of "XUV". It sounds redundant.
So I can assume, if Mahindra launches an ICE version of this, It will be called XUV 900.
Showing top model and quoting the base price,
is a little inappropriate on company's end.
We will test the base variant when we get it for sure!
Mahindra should have done ICE version as well and placed it on top of XUV700. This would have been Indian luxury car !!
They need to put in a 6 cylinder in that frame. Atleast for the next 10 years, EVs won't be what they claim to be when it comes to money and environment
very nice review
Thank you 😃
BE or XEV ? And why ?
You tell us!
BE is born electric which their new platform..! XEV is based on XUV 700 BUT THERE WILL BE A BE version of xuv too
@@sidpradBoth have same platform and wheelbase, the XEV is just styled like the XUV,its not based on one
The interior and front face of Be 6e if applied on this car and making it a petrol and diesel one....will rock the indian market
No ICEs incoming on this car :(
They cannot build an ICE on a born-EV platform, but they can surely use some of its styling for future ICE offerings.

If they come out a ICE version it would crush creta and seltos market.
No ICEs for these
they are byd batteries right, are they developing their own batteries
@@user-hq8wm8giyujcg These are indeed batteries made with BYD’s blade tech
Yes they are developing. Even BYD in their early days used German Batteries
Cells are sourced from BYD and batteries are developed in-house by Mahindra itself!!

Maruti is gonna fill that hybrid gap with serial hybrids in hatchbacks and sub 4m sedans. so more choice for everyone.
let people have options . why are you crying over an ev launch . you want an hybrid you can buy that.
