per me resta il miglior Bartolo che abbia mai ascoltato, nessun altro riesce attualmente a ripetere con tale incisività e precisione nel fraseggio, uniti a una potenza vocale e a una mimica davvero perfette.

Besides the obvious pure singing talent, it’s a very interesting « take » on the whole dynamic. Bartolo is usually played as a doddering old fool and this aria is more about how full of himself he is and how exaggerated an opinion he has of his merits. Here, the portrayal is different. The acting, the intonation in the singing and even the singer’s obvious good looks and youth make him seem a legitimate « bad guy » who could be a real rival for Rosina’s affections and who would genuinely stoop to sequestration to hold onto her. It’s stunning and even a bit unsettling.
I agree...this Bartolo gives the impression of being competently sinister in a way I don't think ever quite seen, and is a little terrifying. Probably not what Rossini had in mind, but Interesting and different.

Stupendous tour de force by Antoniozzi! The enunciation of the lyrics, beautiful holding (and occasional elaboration) of the melody lines, the facial expressions and demeanor - all together put this performance an order of magnitude above the others! The Rosina is a delight too, the perfect foil!
I come back to this every year or so, and it puts such a smile of joy on my old mug, more goose bumps to my arms than a goose has. Thank you, Gaston for uiploading.

This is the best song ever for cleaning frenzy mode, and Rossini wrote a lot of good music for cleaning frenzy so that's really saying something

Bravo! Bartolo is usually played as a doddering old fool, and this aria is sung as an expression of frustration by someone who is clearly under the illusion that he is more powerful and menacing than he really is. In this version Bartolo conveys a genuinely threatening appearance - he is Harvey Weinstein, not some old buffoon, and you long to see him get his comeuppance with the plot hatched by FIgaro.

Excelente, después de Claudio Desderi una excelente cualidad vocal de baritono consagrado para la interpretación. Fuerza, potencia, voz, estética, actuación, manejo de los tiempos y el lenguaje del Aria. Excelente. Optimo por los dos. Lo que buscariamos ante la ausencia de Desderi, el baritono que MEJOR INTERPRETO ENTRE TODOS esta bellisima Aria.

Ecco perché Bartolo non deve essere bello attraente e talentuoso come Antoniozzi. Rosina se ne fregerebbe di Almaviva e avrebbe sposato Bartolo alla metà del primo atto. Niente barbiere di Siviglia per noi
bravo sicuramente ma mi sembra più baritono che basso.

In effetti può sembrare strano, ma al tempo il chinino era ritenuto una sorte di utile "farmaco" :aveva diversi utilizzi, dalla funzione di disinfettante sino a quella di "antibiotico" tanto che il popolare Gin Tonic, era bevuto dagli inglesi nelle colonie asiatiche come deterrente per la malaria proprio per il contenuto di chinino nell'acqua tonica
