Got to put energy into that battery before it can work. We are trying so much to improve battery tech, when we should be working to generate electricity more efficiently
I'm new to all this, but curious because I need to replace the battery in an old hot rod that I only drive once a week. If I bought this battery and the BMS, could I replace my lead acid? Or do I need something additional so it charges properly or whatever! Thank you.
yep this should be a much better better replacement since it has more capacity than your regular battery, be sure to have it installed in a suitable location because of its dimension
Would like to do a lev60 48volt for golf cart 600 amp controller with 5KW motor separately excited sep-ex do you recommend a kit for this? the cart used 6x8Volt lead acid
This would already be ok for a starting battery of a small engine. 12v 36/40ah lead now. What be the cheap/small minimum (weight) way to do that. Maybe add a big capacitor, for help with starting.
@paulbarrette2557 what's the formula you used to figure that out? Do you use the input voltage or output voltage? If useing omhs law I may just done it incorrectly useing output not input. I actually used it with car/truck battery had sitting around and got about 90m running it at somewhere around 1250-1350 watt output (would ran longer but shuts off after voltage dropped below 10volts. Thanks again for your answer and any further assistance you may give. 30 yrs since learned about it in high school so a bit rusty on it trying to bring myself up to speed again. Is this correct if have 72amp hours in a battery then could run 10amps for 7.2 hours?
My answer was a quick estimation based on your 1500 watt load comment. Nominal voltage of the pack is 12.8v and the pack is 74ah. So volts X amp hours = watt hours. 12.8 X 74 = About 950 watt hours. You mentioned initially that you load was 1500 watts... 950 watt hours / 1500 watts = 0.63 hours or about 38 minutes.
Do not use this to replace a lead acid battery in a vehicle if you live in an area that gets below freezing. These batteries will go bad if charging when below freezing.

@2:32 the silkscreen reads 4s2p you may want to double check the bms traces as well
I just ordered another 4 Cell pac .Now i will have 12 cells. My goal is to buy one more pac to have 16 cells 4x4 pacs
I saw a video where someone used 8s of this battery to start a helicopter 🚁
I wonder if this could make a good battery for a small spot welder
You could do any kind of welding with this setup. If you can do it with two agm's in parallel, then you could definitely do it with this setup.

Can it be hooked up with an amg battery because it’s 12v?
That would work great for Amateur radio out in the field

thank you sir!@@jehugarcia
Yeah of a question Can I connect that 12 volt battery to solar our system
yes
I need this but with 5 cells. I'm running 15.8v with my current charging system
Have you seen the drill using graphene batteries? Do you think they could ever be used it e vehicles

These cells are in many 12v batteries in bmw cars, they don’t need aditional capacitors
You just said you have them built ready to go for 150 two months later it’s not 150:/
Yup they cost more now
the cells are $160.00 not $150.00
Well the whole kit I think assembled is $150 but the cells are $39.01 each so would be more for juat the cells
Like a dead short in a capacitor!
How long would it run a 1500watt power inverter for?
Full load of 1500 watts would be about 30 minutes.

@@paulbarrette2557 thanks 😊
@@paulbarrette2557 yeah I did it from the output side 120v x 72ah = 8640watts where my mistake was. Thanks for the help much appreciated 🙏
Are any if your batteries/configurations good for solar storage and use?
Yes
where on your store is this?

How many amps do I need for a 20k amplifier
20000/12=?
so basically i need like 10 cells in parallel@@jehugarcia
Rephrased;
Find out the hard way from a bunch of tiny energizer 12v as kid?
I wonder when they will make a lithium starting battery for a V6. We are at the point we can make one DIY now.
Porche does it. Flat six though
Itechworld in Australia make some. Used on alot of twin turbo v8 diesel landcruisers.
That’s what these cells were designed for, 12v battery in BMWs

So what are you supposed to do then?
