As a dental student, I could cry from happiness because I've found your channel! Thank You a lot for these educational podcasts, doc! I've been listening to podcasts in my free time instead of music for years and these are perfect!! I'm so glad to find good specialised dentistry videos on internet

Jaz, just wanna say your channel is amazing. Im a young GP recent grad in the US and a big fan. Practicing starting off in a new job can be very difficult, lonely, and overwhelming. Listening to your podcasts make me feel like im growing, and learning.

6:15 , how to tell if two canals converge.
A way I like to check is to use two 10-files. Place one to apex. Take the other one, connect to an apex locator, and put in the second canal. If it's short of the apex, but the apex locator is beeping like it's at the apex, it means they converge (even though the "short" file is clearly not at the apex, it is touching the 1st file, which completes the circuit). The reason I like that method is I can now measure the "short" file to see exactly how long that canal is before it converges.
Just subscribed to your channel. It's fantastic knowledge!

Hi Jaz... thank you so much for this enlightening topic. Please, what's your take on using Fuji 9 GIC as a coronal seal?

I was taught that it gets a predictable bond to dentine and I have used this for many years. However most endodontist I speak to have moved towards composite resin eg SDR

My best investment was the microlux 2 light. Cheap and very handy for finding hidden canals. Light from outside the tooth and see.

What a fund of knowledge, my problem is I refer all I possibly can, but this makes me increasingly less competent for even simple cases. Can you ask John Rhodes on your podcast, he combines great endo videos with relaxing jazz music, again lulling you into thinking, this doesn’t look too tricky

Could you have a similar podcast with a gp who does tons of endo? I feel like that could be more relatable.
