感恩節其實其實應該改稱懺悔節，教會的牧師都知道，感恩節是美國基督徒新移民恩將仇報，將幫助他們以及教他們種植玉米濃作物的印地安人殘忍殺害搶奪村莊、土地的背景。在擴張殖民土地的同時，對原住民採取滅村的行動；若不是加以殺害，便是販賣為奴。更在大屠殺後，宣布「除掉了異教野蠻原住民」，而大肆慶祝、感恩。由於一年中有許多次大屠殺，因此也有許多次所謂的「感恩節」，流鮮血當祭典的感恩節。

●還原感恩節的歷史
真正的感恩節故事，不是美國原住民和五月花號的清教徒在1621年11月第4個禮拜四，共同慶祝首次歡樂的豐收節；而是在該日前後一連串所發生的事，當地的原住民在那段時間，幾乎全被早期歐洲移民恩將仇報，殘忍的殺害了。

根據我的印象,
近年感恩節好像因為一些商業考量,變的點像購物節
當大家大肆採購時,
反而導致有些店員無法回家與家人團聚感恩節大餐
然後有的老闆就很大氣的說
"不開店了,讓員工回去跟家人吃大餐"
