    This unexpectedly explains a lot on NMR as well... why nucleus having even no of protons and neutrons is NMR inactive. Also we learnt to calculate nuclear spin of elements up to atomic no 50. Great.

    Sir plz explain the concept of parity also.
    As asked in Dec 2012
    For an odd nucleon in' g ' nuclear orbital and parallel to I,spin and parity would be?

      I came to watch this video only after stalking in that question! 👍

    • @SP-wg5yq
      @SP-wg5yq 3 года назад

      For parity =( -1)^L
      Where L= 0(s), 1(p), 2(d) , 3(f), 4(g), and so on.
      In this question the nucleon is in g shell and is odd in number so spin will be 9/2 and parity = (-1)^4 = +1
      {For g l value is 4}
