*One of the best qualities of Namjoon, in my opinion, is his **_attentiveness._** No matter the situation, good or bad, he always makes sure to be there and he reacts accordingly. He's super respectful and polite to everyone, even the stupid, air-head reporters, who ask questions to stir drama and expose BTS's shortcomings. He chooses his words carefully, and never sides with anyone. The moment when he stepped in during the infamous TaeJin argument is probably one of my favourites. He didn't pick either of them, and didn't say who was right, but he made sure that the fight was resolved when they all gathered together, and told them to focus on the performance. He really shined there, and I applaud him for keeping his cool, because not everyone can be like that, especially when your siblings are acting childish and fighting over stupid things, lol. I love his attitude during the acceptance speeches; when one of them is talking, he makes sure that others are staying calm and poised, because otherwise it would bring a bad name to BTS and k-netz would have another reason to backlash them. He also is always able to know when one of them is behaving weirdly or when there's tension, and he steps in really subtly, without making a huge scene. The maknae line especially, tend to get too excited and RM needs to calm his kids down before anything goes too far, heh.*
Most of the time the oldest member is the leader. In Namjoon's case...he was the first member...he became the leader kinda automatically. They didn't go wrong with him. He is reasonable, calm and composed. I admire his ability to assess situations quickly and behave and react accordingly.
Jin as the oldest is not in the slightest disrespected. He fills out his role as the biggest brother and mood maker to the fullest.
I read somewhere that " bh didn't put the eldest member as the leader in any group because then the leader would have someone to rely on" :(
@@maddieh8598 Yeah first they think who has best leadership qualities, and I noticed BH never appoints but usually asks the other members for their opinion. Yeonjun, Jin, Heesung, none are leaders though they are the oldest. What you said is true! Yeonjun is a caring hyung to 4 brothers and Heesung rejected nomination for leader because he wants to be support from the back. Another reason not to have the oldest member is because age hierarchy is so strict in Korea. Heesung also rejected leader because he wanted younger members to be able to voice their opinion freely without being scared or seen as disrespectful. That's how we ended up with Yang Jungwon, youngest kpop leader, and even namjoon is middle in terms of age.

That last one I commend namjoon and yoongi both for tag teaming the utter bs in the last clip. They handled that so well.
He’s doing his job and doing it quite well.Someone has to take control of them ,especially the younger ones.But it’s not just his toughness it’s his fairness and compassion,and his wanting to help work things out for the good of the band.
i saw a tweet of yeonbin and namjin and it was just how the oldest member isn't the leader so that the leader has someone to lean on, and obviously that's not the reason they're the leader but it's nice to know that the leader has an older member they can rely on.
@J B Yup your right. But at the time RM confessed he can't understand Jin. He said he was different for some reason. But after for sometime RM learn more about Jin. Even his words/ what Jin does and many more. Every words he said even the song from All Night and the speech was from Jin he got it from. He said the words he got it from was Jin. Because Jin taught him even though he can't understand Jin. RM even got his confidents from Jin when he had to cook lol😅. Without Jin he wouldn't know how to cook lol😂. Seeing RM supporting Jin when Jin himself said he can't dance just goes to show Jin isn't alone. RM would always practice dance moves together with Jin. I always seen them as a duet alot. They become so much better that I can't see them as what people said about them when some said they can't dance. Because they both no longer like that anymore. This is why both are my bias 💜💜😚😉. Of course I'm an OT7 Army. But these two made me more confident about myself. I hope you get what I mean.

i feel like the choose leaders based on their age but they probably chose RM based on his intelligence & mentality & maybe because he speaks english or maybe because he was the first member, i’m not to sure don’t go on what i’m saying it’s just my opinion(not saying that any other leaders aren’t intelligent or have bad mentality but..you know, it’s RM)
@Yan Yan Well What you said it might be true. Suga has some issue with him at the time also I don't think he was able to help the members if he was the leader because well you need to look into himself in the past he was already having issues with himself. Jin was the oldest but wasn't the best at being the leader because as the leader he needs to be able to speak in English and many more. Jhope might be a good leader but not someone who can handle the leader ship even when it comes to people he has to talk too. RM was the only one that I think can be a good leader judging on how he handle the group. The members said they whatever they need someone to talk to is RM especially V and Jimin who talk about there problems to RM. RM is also smart even help the members easily when it comes to producing and lyrucs he helps them. He is also a good speaker even though he still had grammer issues he is actually getting better even his accent is good not bad. He can easily talk to anyone because he can speak english well. Also can understand those he had talk too. What's important is that a leader must have confidents on themselves RM had shown that with his stage name that is Real me. Also another thing that stood out is him being able to let the others speak in fron of everyone instead of him all the time, he always put them in the front while himself in the back even the dance and performances he never think about highly of himself. He is a very good leader even said I love you to all the members in the festa letter lol😂😭💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@someonecool110 Uhhh Namjoon became the leader because he was the first member of BTS. He even mentioned it in an interview some years back. It had nothing to do with anyone’s mental state. Each of them have qualities of a great leader, they just differ in areas of expertise. But yeah, Joon was in the original lineup for the group and stayed after the other rappers left; thus becoming the leader of BTS.
