    This is literally my “Endgame” pen. I spent many years searching for my “perfect pen”, and this is the one. IMO, it cannot be topped. It has ruined me from carrying anything else, and I never leave home without it.
    My perfect refill is a Pilot G2 0.38 shortened to the length of a mini Pilot G2 refill size.

    • @joshgroovy
      @joshgroovy 2 года назад +1

      can you directly use a mini pilot g2 refill or do you have to take a full size refill and cut it down yourself?

    • @jordans6790

      @@joshgroovy yes, you can directly use the mini G2. I cut a large one because they do not make a 0.38 mm line thickness in the mini G2. I think the only option is 0.7 mm line thickness

    The pen comes with a spare spring! Although if you lost both I’m sure they’d send another. The reason its not captive is because some refills require you to rotate the spring to the wider opening. They explain this on one of their videos.
    Also, as you discovered, there’s a way to fix a bent pocket clip. They even have a video showing you how on their RUclips channel.

    I have pretty much every pen they make, and with their spare parts in every pen, and the ability to get new spares when you need them makes the Bigidesign pens worth the price across the line and when I say pretty much, I mean I even have the fountain pen. I don't have any of their Ultem material pens. And yes, all the refills choices for the bulk of their line is a really nice feature. The mini uses the D1, but that's not a big deal.

    I've carried mine since it came out in 2017. The only two issues I've ever had are the clip coming loose and the o-rings wearing out. I was able to fix the clip easily. Ended up putting in a couple of spacers in there to make it extra snug. The o-rings lasted about 3 years and I was sent a packet of 4 from BigIdeaDesigns for no charge. I've found nothing that can kick that pen out of my pocket.

    I reviewed it about 2 years ago on my channel and since then it has been my choice for edc about 95% of the time.
    Sometimes i switch it for something fancier, sometimes for something a bit more fun but most of the times it just goes to the pocket without a 2nd thought... its just the right kind of "boring" for an everyday pen 😁
