You should have removed at least 5 sins for the "I'm paralyzed" scene, especially with Michael Clarke Duncan's absolutely sublime comedic delivery. Also, can we talk about how incredible the cast is here? Outside of Ferrell and Cohen, there was Duncan, Amy Adams, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Jane Lynch, Andy Richter, and of course Gary Cole.
The deleted scene with Michael Clark Duncan singing the Donna summers song has to be my favorite scene in any comedy. I don’t care how many times I see it as soon as he breaks out into “…..last chance.. romance… for loooove” I stay crying laughing
It was an improvisation as well and they didn't keep the take because he broke the rest of the cast and the crew with it but the outtakes of that movie are hilarious. I like the Big Red endorsement.
If you haven't seen the Broken Lizard flick The Slammin' Salmon, I highly suggest checking it out. Michael Clark Duncan was off the chain in that movie, you could definitely tell he had fun making that one.
He crushed it in his roles, he was real fun in The Finder and had the great dramatic role in Green Mile. Was saddened by the news of his passing, wish we could've seen more of him. What was your favorite role he played as?
2:13 Nope. In some instances teams will swap the driver even though the driver is fine. One of the most famous examples is when Aric Almirola was swapped for Denny Hamlin in a 2007 Xfinity race in Milwaukee Mile. Almirola qualified the car on pole and was supposed to hand over the drive to Hamlin for the race but Hamlin's helicopter (since he running a double duty racing on the Cup Series race in a different location) couldn't find a place to land so he couldn't make it on time. Almirola started the race and both Hamlin and the team wanted him to finish the race but the sponsor wanted Hamlin to drive so they decided to swap the driver.
The statement about only changing drivers if the original is sick or injured is incorrect. Dale Earnhardt Jr. once replaced Kyle Busch after a crash. Busch thought his car was beyond repair and left early. The car was repaired, and Earnhardt, who’s car was beyond repair, took over. He wasn’t even on the same team.
@@godsmackfan459 a further kicker is that the hatred by most fans of Kyle Busch started when he wrecked Junior at Richmond one year. Even more, Kyle Busch now drives for Dale Sr.'s car owner now.

For the "No corporate sponsors" sin. Ricky Bobby might not, but the series might since they're suppliers. So it might be an obligation for the drivers/teams to still display the sponsors because they use their products. Like from their suits, Goodyear tires, Sunoco Oil for the fuel, etc.

As far as a I know, most race series allow for a race to continue after a fatal accident. Driver Alan Simonson was in a fatal crash about 10 years ago at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, sometimes the race is cancelled. This happened when Dan Wheldon was in a fatal crash in the Indy car series
Everybody knew Las Vegas was too dangerous to run IndyCars on, except for the promoter of the event. The fact the field was larger than usual (only the 500 typically has more than 25 cars in it) also contributed to the danger that day.
Let's not forget a recent crash from 2019 in the F2 series at Spa. The spectators and F1 crews/drivers saw that tragic accident, yet they continued to drive for the race.
If someone passes in that race, typically only if they’re pronounced as deceased at the track, the race will be stopped. I think there was an instance where a race went forward because the driver was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Forget which one it was, though
in referrence to 10:08, this is probably the most accurate part of the movie... motorsport contracts are a formality more than anything... Sergio Perez said that "F1 contracts are like toilet paper" and that sentiment goes for just about every form of motorsport there is...

The Days of Thunder sins video is about a decade old now. Actually, that should get a re-sin, and I suggest calling in NASCAR RUclipsrs like s1apsh0es and Brock Beard. These days, NASCAR will park you before you get the chance. You have to be a bit sneakier about it, such as Matt Kenseth wrecking Joey Logano but not broadcasting his intentions.
I think one of the biggest sins of this movie is that an F1 driver could immediately drive a nascar. They’re completely different kinds of cars. Kimi Raikkonen wrecked in his first nascar race, (although it wasn’t his fault) and he had months of practice beforehand
This movie is excellent lol. Feels like you're taking the approach you should take to talk about the Fast & Furious franchise. Equally absurd, but actually takes itself seriously.
The 1991 NASCAR Cup race at Watkins Glen is probably what you immediately came across. Driver JD McDuffie was killed in an accident on the Outer Loop turn early in the race. Sometimes I go fast, sometimes I go slow. It is not a sport."
I think that sums it up perfectly! 😂
@@Klm49 Some pretty casual research will explain the sport’s unique difficulties and the skill required to compete, but I can see how’d you’d be ignorant to that because you don’t care what anyone says, except your cousin in law who goes out of his way to, run. I wouldn’t take advice about cars from someone who spits on Henry Ford and all of the other great pioneers by purposely going around on foot. That’s like getting burger recommendations from a vegetarian.
This is easily one of the best movies ever made.

The wasp. 100% the wasp is the scariest thing to be trapped in a car with. I'd take the cougar over the wasp any day of the week.... if the cougars calm in the car and already been fed, so much the better, since there is more of a chance the cougar will just chill in the back or something :'D
How did you dare to make an EWW Talladega Nights? This movie is PERFECT
